Supercapacitors, which are essential for addressing modern energy challenges, possess outstanding storage capabilities without requiring manual maintenance. However, their low density and capacity limit applicability electrode materials. Recently, two-dimensional materials (2D), particularly 2D transition metal carbonitrides (MXenes) have attracted considerable interest developing devices because of large specific surface area fast ion-transport pathways. MXenes mainly comprise a (M) layer, carbon and/or nitrogen (X) active functional groups exterior to the layer. Metallic properties M layer offer excellent pseudocapacitance characteristics, while X is characterized by abundant sites conductivity similar that graphene. Compared with conventional materials, existence various on endows them stronger hydrophilicity higher wettability in aqueous electrolytes, which, combined diverse frame structures group combinations, significantly augment devices.
