A significant challenge in many electrochemical systems is finding a stable, high‐performing current collector material that mechanically robust, adaptable form factor, and free of precious metals. Titanium electrodes are robust these regards but exhibit poor charge transfer performance due to self‐passivation. Herein, new materials processing paradigm based on the titanium/titanium nitride (Ti/TiN) system which allows for low‐resistance collectors arbitrary factor presented. Specifically, gas‐nitriding process 3D‐printed titanium results 20‐fold improvement characteristics relative untreated outlined. The ability utilize 3D‐structured with net 40‐fold over nonstructured further demonstrated. This novel approach creating requires minimal laboratory resources can be widely adapted variety applications, including desalination, electrolysis, energy storage, basic research. work described herein provides both means accelerating research opens door hierarchical tuneability enhanced performance.

Abstract Stainless steel mesh (SSM) has emerged as a cornerstone in electrochemical applications owing to its exemplary versatility, electrical conductivity, mechanical robustness, and corrosion resistance. This state‐of‐the‐art review delves into the diverse roles of SSM across spectrum domains, including energy conversion storage devices, water treatment technologies, sensors, catalysis. We meticulously explore deployment supercapacitors, batteries, fuel cells, highlighting utility current collector, electrode, separator. The further discusses critical significance processes, emphasizing efficacy supporting membranes facilitating electrocoagulation, well novel uses sensing catalysis, which include electrosynthesis bioelectrochemistry. Each section delineates recent advancements, identifies inherent challenges, suggests future directions for leveraging technologies. comprehensive showcases state knowledge articulates integration with emerging materials thereby establishing new paradigm sustainable efficient applications. Converting Candlenut Shell Waste into Graphene for Electrode Applications DOI Open Access

Graphene was synthesized through a two-step pyrolysis method using waste candlenut (Aleurites moluccanus) shells as the precursor. Cerium (Ce)/graphene composites were prepared via an impregnation technique. The resulting graphene and Ce/graphene characterized various analytical methods, including Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Photoelectron (XPS), Transmission (TEM), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Linear Sweep (LSV). bio-carbon produced predominantly exhibited structure flat carbon morphology interlayer distance of 0.33 nm. This structural information is supported by XRD data, which shows broad weak peak at 2θ = 26° corresponding to C (002) plane, indicative presence. FTIR, XPS, Raman spectroscopy further confirmed presence detection Csp2 aromatic bonds characteristic D, G, 2D peaks. Notably, performance cerium can be enhanced incorporation graphene, attributed large surface area chemical interactions between Ce graphene. Consequently, candlenut-derived potential supportive material for modifying properties cerium, thereby opening avenues advanced applications, such sustainable high-performance energy storage systems.

Electrochemical Analysis of Corrosion Resistance of Manga-nese-Coated Annealed Steel: Chronoamperometric and Volta-metric Study DOI Open Access

Metal corrosion poses a significant challenge for industries by decreasing the lifespan of materials and escalat-ing maintenance replacement costs. This study is critically important as it assesses resistance properties annealed steel wire electrodes coated with manganese, employing chronoamperometry linear voltammetry techniques. The were immersed in an electrolyte solution subjected to chronoam-perometry at various voltages (-0.55 V, -0.60 -0.70 V) durations (60 seconds 1800 seconds). Sub-sequently, was performed over potential range from -0.8 V 0.8 generate Tafel plots. Butler-Volmer equation applied data obtained determine current density. re-sults indicate that optimal conditions forming highly effective protective manganese layer occur seconds. Under these conditions, exhibited superior re-sistance. also revealed shorter less negative potentials led manga-nese coatings, higher rates reduced stability. These findings are developing ef-ficient protection methods industrial research applications, providing clear parameters op-timizing electrodeposition process on steel.
