Mental health conditions during pregnancy, especially postpartum depression (PPD), can have profound and long-lasting effects on the individual, impeding her ability to bond with child disrupting family dynamics. Although pharmacological treatments like antidepressants are mainstay treatment options, several mothers concerns about their safety potential side effects, breastfeeding mothers. There is an emerging interest in exploring use of non-pharmacological interventions as alternative modality for PPD. This review focuses effectiveness options cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal mobile games, technological interventions, creative art techniques. also highlights existing gaps dearth research from lower socioeconomic countries where women face barriers accessing much-needed support stigma surrounding mental still exists lack studies assess long-term these interventions.

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a condition that can affect any woman regardless of ethnicity, age, party, marital status, income, and type delivery. This highly prevalent worldwide. PPD, if not treated timely, the maternal-child bond have detrimental impact on future cognitive, emotional, behavioral development child. Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) has been reported as an effective treatment PPD in previous studies this focuses relationship social support issues.
