Estimated electric conductivities of thermal plasma for air-fuel combustion and oxy-fuel combustion with potassium or cesium seeding DOI Creative Commons

A complete model for estimating the electric conductivity of combustion product gases, with added cesium (Cs) or potassium (K) vapor ionization, is presented. Neutral carrier gases serve as bulk fluid that carries seed material, well electrons generated by partial thermal (equilibrium) ionization alkali metal. The accounts electron-neutral scattering, electron-ion and electron-electron scattering. tested through comparison published data. aimed at being utilized plasma within magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) channels, where direct power extraction from passing electrically conducting gas enables generation. then used to estimate seeded under three selected fuels, namely: hydrogen (H2), methane (CH4), carbon (C). For each these two options oxidizer were applied, air (21 % molecular oxygen, 79 nitrogen mole), pure oxygen (oxy-combustion). Two types seeds (with 1 mole fraction, based on composition before ionization) also applied six combinations (fuel-oxidizer), leading a total 12 different MHD cases. cases, was computed range temperatures 2000 K 3000 K. smallest estimated 0.35 S/m oxy-hydrogen K, seeding. largest 180.30 oxy-carbon At replacing causes gain in multiplicative factor about 3.6 regardless fuel oxidizer. Featuring low cost, melting points, excellent biocompatibility, outstanding electrical conductivity, and mechanical properties, gallium-based liquid metals (LMs) have become a promising class of materials to fabricate flexible healthcare sensors. However, the extremely high surface tension hinders their manipulation cooperation with substrates. To address this problem, inspiration nanomaterials has been adopted mold LMs into LM nanoparticles (LMNPs) expanded advantages. The transformability LMNPs endows them functionalities for sensors in multiple dimensions, such as intelligent response specific molecules or strains, various morphologies, integration high-resolution circuits, conductive elastomers. It has become clear that superior material functions are derived from precisely controlled nanostructures. This been greatly accelerated by the development of nanotechnology. The next step is to assemble materials with knowledge their nano-level structures. task assigned post-nanotechnology concept nanoarchitectonics. However, nanoarchitectonics, which creates intricate three-dimensional functional structures, not always easy. Two-dimensional nanoarchitectonics based on reactions and arrangements at surface may be an easier target tackle. A better methodology would define a two-dimensional structure then develop it into function. According these backgrounds, this review paper organized as follows. introduction followed summary three issues; (i) 2D 3D dynamic control: liquid crystal commanded surface, (ii) rational construction: metal-organic framework (MOF) covalent organic (COF); (iii) amplification: cells regulated surface. Flexible conductive sensor materials have received great attention for their sensitive electrical response to external conditions and promising applications in flexible wearable robotic applications. In this work, a highly stretchable force temperature material with sandwich structure was prepared from the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) liquid metal (LM) gallium-indium-tin alloy (GaInSn). The (PDMS + PDMS/GaInSn PDMS) proven prevent "leakage" of LM. preparation method sensing simple time-saving (less than 1.5 h) can be used industrial production. performance analysis results confirmed that resistance (R) force, such as repeated stretching, compressing, bending, impacting. ΔR/R changed periodically stably when GaInSn/Part A ≥ 0.4, cyclic tensile strain ≤ 50%, rate 2.5 mm/min. R also responsive temperature, hot air nitrogen. conclusion, work provides preparing structure, which without leaking LM, it produced different types signals under deformations temperatures.

However, the reversible transformation of liquid metals between different forms control light fields has not been sufficiently investigated.
