ABSTRACT As businesses increasingly integrate sustainability into corporate strategy, the role of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure in driving circular economy ( CE ) adoption has garnered significant attention. However, mechanisms through which ESG facilitates transitions remain underexplored, particularly emerging economies such as sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA). This study examines synergistic roles committees mediators eco‐innovation a moderator strengthening ESG– relationship. Using panel dataset 320 manufacturing firms SSA (2010–2022) employing advanced econometric techniques, we address potential endogeneity model biases. The findings reveal that environmental social disclosures positively influence adoption, whereas exerts negative effect due to weak regulatory frameworks compliance inconsistencies. Corporate enhance relationship by ensuring commitments translate strategic actions, while amplifies impact disclosure, accelerating implementation. Notably, observe heterogeneity effects on across regional industrial variations. robust multiple sensitivity tests, confirming their reliability. Our results underscore need for policymakers strengthen mandates enforce reporting accelerate adoption. Furthermore, recommend corporations prioritize investments structures reinforce alignment. These insights offer valuable implications business leaders, policymakers, advocates fostering resilient SSA.

ABSTRACT The transition to a circular economy ( CE ) is necessary for achieving sustainable development, yet research on governance mechanisms that drive strategies remains limited. This study bridges this gap and significantly advances studies , board governance, innovation, sustainability by assessing the critical function of capital in driving within manufacturing companies emerging economies, specifically Middle East North Africa (MENA) area. Drawing agency theory resource‐based theory, develops models assess influence human social strategies, with innovation capacity as key moderating factor. Using panel data from 268 firms between 2010 2022 employing dynamic generalized method moments (GMM) technique, outcome reveal both positively strategies. Notably, not only enhances directly but also amplifies impact capital, underscoring synergistic connection sustainability. highlights substantial heterogeneity effect across MENA region. These findings remain robust after conducting several robustness diagnostic tests. ABSTRACT This study builds upon and extends the literature on corporate governance (CG), sustainability growth, innovation by examining how mechanisms influence responsible consumption production (RCP), with technological as a moderating factor. Drawing insights from resource‐based institutional theories, we develop models that link RCP, driven innovation. Using data 282 listed manufacturing firms in China 2010 to 2022, employed advanced econometric techniques instrumental variables ensure robustness of our findings. The results provide strong evidence circular economy committee, environmental management team, CSR gender diversity positively impact while risk committee board tenure rate exhibit negative association RCP. Additionally, ESG executive compensation negatively affects RCP through indirect factors, whereas strengthens promoting findings reveal significant heterogeneous across ownership structures industries. Uniquely, PSM‐DID model confirms causal providing additional empirical validation for study's conclusions. remain robust consistent multiple tests, confirming reliability credibility underscore critical need strengthen integrate enhance practices, valuable policymakers industry leaders advancing SDG 12.

ABSTRACT This study contributes to the literature on sustainability, innovation, and productivity by examining relationship between green innovation (GI) firm‐level Green Total Factor Productivity (GTFP) in United States China. Drawing resource‐based theory, dynamic capabilities, cost–benefit analysis, investigates roles of GI, eco‐technology intensity (EcoT), absorption capacity shaping GTFP. The sample includes 579 listed manufacturing firms from China 612 2000 2022. To address potential endogeneity, generalized method moment (GMM) estimator is employed, along with instrumental variables. findings show that utility patents positively impact GTFP whereas design have a greater effect Nonlinear results indicate GI increases at an accelerating rate higher patent numbers, stronger effects for patents. Absorptive plays key role mediating this relationship, Chinese benefiting more US EcoT moderates pronounced due its advanced technological infrastructure. also reveals significant heterogeneity across industries ownership types, remain robust after several tests. Policy recommendations include promoting States, scaling China, strengthening capacities. Tailored policies different types are crucial maximizing sustainable innovation.

ABSTRACT In an era where sustainability is paramount, the role of corporate governance in promoting justice remains underexplored, particularly emerging regions such as MENA. This study extends literature on and by examining relationship between mechanisms performance (SJP) MENA firms. Drawing agency theory normative ethics (consequentialism), hypothesizes that effective mitigates conflicts fosters ethical decision‐making, thereby enhancing justice. To test these hypotheses, we analyze a dataset 727 listed firms from 2010 to 2022, using robust econometric techniques instrumental variables address endogeneity concerns. The findings show that, regarding structural attributes, board independence size are positively linked with SJP, whereas members' shareholding proportion CEO duality negative effects. Concerning diversity gender has positive impact but foreign nationals negatively affect SJP. Regarding process remuneration, meetings, tenure all have links Additionally, there significant heterogeneity how impacts SJP across industries, ownership types, dimensions sustainability. results after rigorous checks sensitivity analyses. Policymakers should prioritize reforms strengthen independence, promote diversity, encourage more frequent meetings improve limiting shareholder power, addressing duality, aligning executive compensation goals will enhance foster long‐term outcomes region.
