Although
psychotherapy
is
effective
for
bulimia
nervosa
(BN),
many
individuals
remain
symptomatic
after
treatment.
Therefore,
pharmacotherapies
have
been
studied
as
stand-alone
treatments,
and
adjuncts
psychotherapy,
with
the
goal
of
improving
outcomes
BN.
Despite
much
research
in
this
area,
fluoxetine
remains
only
medication
regulatory
approval.
However,
there
are
off-label
options
several
medications
development.
The
chapter
to
review
literature
related
following
BN:
a)
antidepressants,
b)
antiepileptics,
c)
stimulants,
d)
other
medications.
We
will
also
combining
pharmacotherapy

BN

Abstract
Glucagon‐like
peptide‐1
receptor
agonists
(GLP‐1As)
are
being
used
as
approved
or
off‐label
treatments
for
weight
loss.
As
such,
there
has
been
increasing
concern
about
the
potential
GLP‐1As
to
impact
eating
disorder
(ED)
symptomatology.
This
article
seeks
(1)
review
current
state
of
knowledge
regarding
and
ED
symptomatology;
(2)
provide
recommendations
future
research;
(3)
guide
clinicians
in
how
discuss
clinical
practice.
Although
evidence
is
limited,
it
possible
that
could
exacerbate,
contribute
development
of,
pathology
negatively
treatment.
Preliminary
research
on
use
