Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China, which boasts unique hydrological conditions and rich biodiversity. In this study, metagenomics technology was used to sequence microbial genome of soil samples S1 (sedimentary), S2 (semi-submerged), S3 (arid) with different water content from wetland; results indicate that three have physicochemical characteristics their community structure functional gene distribution are also different, resulting separate ecological functions. The abundance typical ANME archaea Candidatus Menthanoperedens high mcrA mutually demonstrate prominent roles methane anaerobic oxidation pathway during cycle. S2, advantageous bacterial genus Nitrospira ammonia function validated by a large number nitrification genes (amoA, hao, nxrA), manifesting it plays monumental role nitrogen S3, dominant Nocardioides confirms multitude antibiotic resistance genes, indicating crucial emphatic research value for issues. above preliminarily proved communities as indicators predicting wetland functions, will help better develop plans restoring balance addressing climate change.

ABSTRACT The West Qinling Mountains is the western extension of Mountains, geographic demarcation line between north and south China. Under control Loess Plateau, northern part has obvious transitional features in terms topography, climate, soil, vegetation. In order to explore effects Plateau on habitat quality (HQ) we selected five typical counties with different percentages area based geomorphic types, water system, vegetation zone, elevation, analyzed spatial temporal differentiation characteristics HQ their influence mechanisms help InVEST model geographical detector (GD) model. results showed that: (1) From 2000 2020, cultivated land continued decrease, while constructed increase. three regions a decreasing trend an increasing forest as within region decreases. Transition Zone increase construction county (2) changes bipolar sharpening phenomenon. moderately low grade high (3) mean first then decreasing. Zone, three‐level gradient low, medium, high. generally distribution south, was mainly distributed north. formation this verified that ecological environment had influenced Mountains. (4) Land use intensity (LUI) population density were dominant factors causing regions, NDVI NPP have always played key role variation synergistic enhancement effect various promotes change regional HQ.

Abstract Poyang Lake is an essential natural wetland in the Yangtze River basin and plays a vital role maintaining ecosystem function ecological security middle lower reaches of River. However, relative importance spatial heterogeneity impacts human activities land use changes on needs to be further explored. Here, we analyzed habitat quality level around 2022 explored factors change from geographical perspective. The structure 2000 were quantitatively analyzed, then each factor investigated using geographic probes. results show that (1) worst (0–0.1) consists mainly construction (1624.9 km 2 ) with area 1634.64 ; (2) Construction continues increase most significant change, dynamic attitude 0.47. Grassland mudflats have greatest decrease. cultivated different periods due shift water surface forest land; (3) drivers significantly influenced by interaction socioeconomic factors. explanatory power population density interacting total year‐end administrative exceeded 0.84. These values higher than individual factor, indicating was primarily associated density, population, area. suggest contribute degradation wetlands Lake. This study has reference value for coordinating human–land relationships Lake, optimizing management policy, improving sustainable development cities.

Understanding the driving mechanisms behind surface urban heat island (SUHI) effects is essential for mitigating degradation of thermal environments and enhancing livability. However, previous studies have primarily concentrated on central areas, lacking a comprehensive analysis entire metropolitan area over distinct time periods. Additionally, most relied regression models such as ordinary least squares (OLS) or logistic regression, without adequately analyzing spatial heterogeneity factors influencing effects. Therefore, this study aims to explore in Guangzhou-Foshan across different The Local Climate Zones (LCZs) method was employed analyze landscape characteristics structure metropolis years 2013, 2018, 2023. Furthermore, Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR), Multi-scale (MGWR), Geographical Detector (GD) were utilized investigate interactions between (land cover factors, environmental socio-economic factors) Surface Urban Heat Island Intensity (SUHII), maximizing explanation SUHII all Three main findings emerged: First, exhibited significant heterogeneity, with non-linear relationship SUHII. Second, SUHI displayed core-periphery pattern, Large lowrise (LCZ 8) compact 3) areas showing highest levels core zones. Third, land emerged influential metropolis. These results indicate that exhibit notable varying negative can be leveraged mitigate locations. Such offer crucial insights future policy-making.
