Residuals are essential in regression analysis for evaluating model adequacy, validating assumptions, and detecting outliers or influential data. While traditional residuals perform well linear regression, they face limitations exponential family models, such as those based on the binomial Poisson distributions, due to heteroscedasticity dependence among observations. This article introduces a novel standardized combined residual nonlinear models within family. By integrating information from both mean dispersion sub-models, new provides unified diagnostic tool that enhances computational efficiency eliminates need projection matrices. Simulation studies real-world applications demonstrate its advantages interpretability over residuals.

Introduction Despite China’s devotion to marine biodiversity by conserving 12.98% of its seas, recent years saw the more flattened growth protected area (MPA) establishment. Understanding establishment mechanisms MPAs is crucial for protecting wildlife and achieving balanced conservation development. However, traditional linear or generalized models are insufficient capture complex nonlinear effects between ecosystems society. Methods Adapting social-ecological system (SES) framework, from perspective public goods decision-making, this paper uses overdispersion-robust Poisson pseudo-maximum likelihood (PPML) regressions with high-dimensional fixed study distribution pattern factors influencing MPA in 49 Chinese coastal cities that built during 1998-2020. It also developed a mathematically based algorithm locate thresholds where change. Results show GDP over ¥55 billion (1998-based, equal ¥106.5 2020) be conducive establishment, while built-up areas 63 km² antagonistic Illustrated an N-shaped curve, article supplements previous studies U-shaped environmental Kuznets curve providing new theoretical insights perspective. Discussion Drawing on results, practical implications were given balance development, spatial-ecological socioeconomic alignment top-down adaptive governance, list prioritized receive fund as 2030 looms. The conclusions pertain global development merit future deepen research higher-order interactions dynamics.

Abstract Honeybees ( Apis mellifera ) are indispensable pollinators for ecosystem stability and agricultural productivity. However, they face numerous challenges, including pathogens threatening their survival services. Among these pathogens, Nosema ceranae , a microsporidian parasite, causes significant damage to the intestinal tract induces energetic imbalances in organism, posing major threat both individual bees entire colonies. In response infections, often engage behavioral defenses, such as self-medicating with antimicrobial substances available environment. We hypothesized that infected N. might compensate behaviorally by increasing carbohydrate consumption. To test this hypothesis, we conducted meta-analysis of existing studies comparing sugar consumption healthy bees, complemented an experimental study. our experiment, measured intake quantified trehalose levels hemolymph, key indicator energy reserves. Both results consistently showed no differences between bees. Similarly, hemolymph remained comparable two groups. Our findings suggest infection caused does not elicit compensatory feeding behavior honeybees. Moreover, revealed gaps current research, particularly lack focusing on forager which highest demands among colony members. call future effects nosemosis under natural or semi-natural conditions.
