Introduction
Despite
China’s
devotion
to
marine
biodiversity
by
conserving
12.98%
of
its
seas,
recent
years
saw
the
more
flattened
growth
protected
area
(MPA)
establishment.
Understanding
establishment
mechanisms
MPAs
is
crucial
for
protecting
wildlife
and
achieving
balanced
conservation
development.
However,
traditional
linear
or
generalized
models
are
insufficient
capture
complex
nonlinear
effects
between
ecosystems
society.
Methods
Adapting
social-ecological
system
(SES)
framework,
from
perspective
public
goods
decision-making,
this
paper
uses
overdispersion-robust
Poisson
pseudo-maximum
likelihood
(PPML)
regressions
with
high-dimensional
fixed
study
distribution
pattern
factors
influencing
MPA
in
49
Chinese
coastal
cities
that
built
during
1998-2020.
It
also
developed
a
mathematically
based
algorithm
locate
thresholds
where
change.
Results
show
GDP
over
¥55
billion
(1998-based,
equal
¥106.5
2020)
be
conducive

built-up
areas

Meta-Analysis and Experimental Evidence Reveal No Impact of Nosema ceranae Infection on Honeybee Carbohydrate Consumption

Abstract
Honeybees
(
Apis
mellifera
)
are
indispensable
pollinators
for
ecosystem
stability
and
agricultural
productivity.
However,
they
face
numerous
challenges,
including
pathogens
threatening
their
survival
services.
Among
these
pathogens,
Nosema
ceranae
,
a
microsporidian
parasite,
causes
significant
damage
to
the
intestinal
tract
induces
energetic
imbalances
in
organism,
posing
major
threat
both
individual
bees
entire
colonies.
In
response
infections,
often
engage
behavioral
defenses,
such
as
self-medicating
with
antimicrobial
substances
available
environment.
We
hypothesized
that
infected
N.
might
compensate
behaviorally
by
increasing
carbohydrate
consumption.
To
test
this
hypothesis,
we
conducted
meta-analysis
of
existing
studies
comparing
sugar
consumption
healthy
bees,
complemented
an
experimental
study.
our
experiment,
measured
intake
quantified
trehalose
levels
hemolymph,
key
indicator
energy
reserves.
Both
results
consistently
showed
no
differences
between
bees.
Similarly,
hemolymph
remained
comparable

groups.

findings
suggest
infection

feeding

evaluating
model
adequacy,
validating
assumptions,

outliers

residuals
perform
well
linear
regression,
they
face
limitations
exponential
family
models,

based
on
the
binomial
Poisson
distributions,

to
heteroscedasticity

novel
standardized
combined
residual
nonlinear
models
within

integrating
information
from
both
mean
dispersion
sub-models,

tool
