Quercus chungii is a tree species endemic to subtropical areas of China, rare and endangered in Fujian Province. Minqing Huangchulin National Nature Reserve was specifically established preserve Q. forests with severe logging history. How the composition communities changed after initiation this conservation practice remains unknown. Understanding successional trajectories crucial for conserving restoring similar secondary history areas. In study, we assessed how phylogenetic changed, whether these temporal were primarily contributed by stochastic processes. We two sites composed adult trees nature reserve 2013, measured their 2013 2023, respectively. found that undergone significant replacement reordering from thus leading high β diversity. These changes community results deterministic ecological processes based on null model analyses. A larger contribution nestedness than turnover diversity suggested change richness caused loss or gain more important driving compositional change. balanced abundance variations gradient there no consistent increase decrease during decade.
