In this work, a series of beflubutamid (BF) analogues' postemergent herbicidal activity was evaluated, and the structure-activity relationship (SAR) discussed. At dosage 300 g ai/ha, compounds (Rac)-6h (Rac)-6q showed excellent against Amaranthus retroflexus, Abutilon theophrasti, Medicago sativa, with inhibition rates 90, 100, 80% 100%, respectively, comparable to that commercial herbicide BF, which respectively. Notably, at dosages 150 chiral (S)-6h (S)-6q exhibited higher activities than their racemates. Molecular docking results indicated (S)-BF have stronger binding affinities Oryza sativa phytoene desaturase (OsPDS), resulting in activity. Additionally, degradation dynamics half-life wheat determined be 77.02 h. Consequently, are promising lead candidates for development highly effective herbicides.
