Abstract To reduce the high burden of disease caused by air pollution, World Health Organization (WHO) released new Air Quality Guidelines (AQG) on September 22, 2021. In this study, daily fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) and surface ozone (O 3 data 618 cities around world is collected from 2019 to 2022. Based AQG, number attainment days for average concentrations PM (≤ 15 µg m −3 O 100 approximately 10% 90%, respectively. China India exhibit a decreasing trend in highly polluted (> 75 PM. Every year over 68% 27% are exposed harmful 35 Combined with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it found that more than 35% world's face ‐O compound pollution. Furthermore, exposure risks these (China, India, etc.) mainly categorized as “High Risk”, “Risk”, “Stabilization”. contrast, economically developed Safety”, “Safety”, “Deep Stabilization.” These findings indicate global implementation WHO's AQG will minimize inequitable risk

This research study presents a comparison of an in-person and online conference in terms environmental impact energy efficiency. The main goal our was to prepare complete life cycle assessment two-day (15-h), 200-participant based on different methods. Life assessments focus the numerical determination decarbonization consumption (lunch, dinner, food beverage during breaks), organization (discussions, correspondence, abstract booklet, registration package), travel, infrastructure. meals were examined by connecting stages preparation, cooking, end-of-life as cradle-to-grave analysis. We paid particular attention calculation consumption. After carbon footprint comparisons, areas with highest impacts pie diagrams identified. Lastly, SWOT chart SAP-LAP analysis diagram summarize achievable objectives challenges. In conclusion, there is no outstanding difference between methods for investigation. Travel contributes 57% overall at conferences, while holds second largest share, 8.41 kg CO2 equivalent/person/hour. Excluding calculated 0.362 equivalent/person/hour (only considering effect organization, administration package). Our initial hypothesis that reduces decarbonization, which results confirm.

The relationship between ozone (O3) exposure and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) in twin pregnancies remains unexplored. This study aimed to investigate the association O3 GDM risk pregnancies, explore synergistic effects of with other maternal factors. A total 428 recruited from a prospective cohort were included. Cox proportional hazard models distributed lag non-linear (DLNMs) applied examine associations identify critical windows. multiplicative additive interaction further analyzed test effects. 10 μg/m3 increase average during 12 weeks before pregnancy was associated 26% higher GDM. windows identified period 3rd week gestation 2nd as well 17th 19th week. There high preconception advanced age, history preterm birth/abortion/stillbirth. Periconceptional could women, synergism certain factors observed.

Understanding the correlation between PM2.5 and O3 is critical for complex air pollution control. This study comprehensively analyzed characteristics, uncovered spatiotemporal variations in their correlation, investigated driving mechanisms of association Dongying, a typical petrochemical city China’s Bohai Bay region. Results showed that PM2.5–O3 Dongying exhibited significant seasonal variations, spatial patterns, concentration threshold effects from 2017 to 2023. strong positive correlations summer, negative winter, weak spring/autumn, with strongest links western areas. The occurred summer when ≤ 35 μg·m−3 >160 μg·m−3, while was winter > 75 100 μg·m−3. Meteorological conditions (T 20 °C, RH < 30%, wind speed 1.73 m/s, Ox 125 μg·m−3) non-sea-breeze periods enhanced correlation. During four episodes, propelled by synchronous increases secondary components via shared precursors. In autumn, positivity resulted component–O3 (r 0.7) dominance formation PM2.5. stemmed primary emissions inhibiting photochemistry. Random forest analysis Ox, RH, T drove photochemistry whereas NO titration caused offers guidance collaborative control cities

Understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of atmospheric PM2.5 concentration is highly challenging due to its evolution processes have complex and nonlinear patterns. Traditional mode decomposition methods struggle accurately capture features concentrations. In this study, we utilized global linearization capabilities Koopman method analyze hourly daily in Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei (BTH) region from 2019 2021. This approach decomposes data into superposition different spatial modes, revealing their hierarchical structure reconstructing dynamic processes. The results show that concentrations exhibit high-frequency cycles 12 24 h, as well low-frequency 124 353 days, while also modes growth, recession, oscillation. these enables reconstruction with a mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) only 0.6%. Unlike empirical (EMD), (KMD) avoids aliasing provides clearer identification key compared wavelet analysis. These findings underscore effectiveness KMD analyzing concentration, offering new insights understanding other phenomena.
