OBJECTIVE This study aims assess these examine how literacy moderates them guide development tailored nonpharmacological strategies. METHODS We analyzed data from 2 waves nationally representative “Psychology Behavior Investigation Chinese Residents” surveys identify participants who self-reported COPD, assessed 5 physical (quality life, activity, sleep quality, appetite, nicotine dependence), 4 mental (anxiety, depression, perceived stress, resilience), 3 measures (social support, self‐efficacy, literacy). Multiple regression Holm-Bonferroni corrections revealed moderation RESULTS unfunded enrolled 1044 between June 2022 August 2023, analysis completed within 7 months following collection. The sample included 254 (24.3%) 696 (66.7%) 95 (9.1%) both conditions. mean age was 48.61 (SD 19.70) years, 536 (51.3%) were male. Linear showed that COPD asthma had lower health-related higher anxiety depression compared those either condition alone (b ranges –0.15 3.35). group also dependence than asthma-only (b=0.88) resilience COPD-only groups (b=–0.76) (all adjusted P<.05). significantly moderated on all except activity P interaction <.05). Nine pairs groups, only high literacy, 8 low CONCLUSIONS Individuals poorer greater dependence, resilience, underscoring need integrated psychosocial behavioral interventions. Although associated improved it widened depression. Therefore, while may help reduce overall inequities among patients respiratory diseases, its potential adverse effects well-being warrant careful attention. Moreover, linked more pronounced disparities, indicating outreach efforts digital resources should be specifically designed reach empower vulnerable populations. Overall, our findings advocate condition-specific, eHealth-enhanced care pathways foster but integrate comprehensive services, thereby mitigating diseases.
