Childlessness and its associated factors among Chinese women: a nationwide population-based study

Abstract
Background
China
has
experienced
a
continuous
decline
in
fertility
rates,
despite
the
end
of
one-child
policy,
further
intensifying
population
ageing.
Timely
evidence
on
factors
associated
with
childlessness
among
Chinese
women
is
needed,
alongside
examining
reproductive
anxiety
childless
age.
Methods
This
nationwide,
cross-sectional
study
was
based
2023
Psychology
and
Behavior
Investigation
Residents
Survey.
A
total
10,802
across
mainland
who
were
(or
had
been)
married
included,
whom
5,885
age
(20–49
years)
4,917
post-reproductive
(≥
50
years).
Logistic
linear
regression
analyses
