Abstract Background The Chinese government, announced new 10 measures for COVID-19 response on December 7, 2022, which meant the thorough abolishment of dynamic zero-COVID-19 policy. actual number SARS-CoV-2-infected residents was much larger than official data due to cancellation large-scale nucleic acid testing. Methods This work is a re-analysis published data. surveillance were derived from Human-Society Communication, public service agency employment. information main endemic strains SARS-CoV-2 in mainland during Omicron wave obtained Center Disease Control and Prevention. Communication issued online questionnaires all via WeChat Public Account 20–21, 2022. Thereafter, second time 26, Results A total 122,806 participated first questionnaire survey two days. results showed that 74,689 participants (60.8%) infected with variants. For survey, 47,897 day. infection rate increased 60.8–73.5% 21–26, BA.5.2 BF.7 according analysis genome sequences. Conclusions Both subvariants had extremely strong transmissibility, infections posed unprecedented challenges mainland.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has resulted in significant global mortality and morbidity affecting millions of lives. As healthcare authorities worldwide are still paying substantial attention to COVID-19, other diseases continue cause more deaths than COVID-19. decreasing number COVID-19 cases indicates that the is close end. For effective management, facilities have established units testing facilities, instituting infection prevention control measures, employing telehealth services. Healthcare professionals identified some promising treatments for COVID-19; also, mass vaccinations improved patient outcomes. Instead as a pandemic, it time pay lessen their impact on public health. Therefore, World Health Organization (WHO) declared end phase considering current situation our preparedness, past experience, long social economic life May 5, 2023. In this article, we briefly discussed present challenges due necessary precautions, future directions return before

The Nipah virus is a zoonotic infection that can potentially be transmitted from person to as well through ingesting contaminated food. It has high fatality rate, and no treatment or cure at present. Several nations in South Asia have reported outbreaks occurred during particular season of the year. Since it was first found Bangladesh 2001, there been total 335 people infected with it, 237 those passed away result their infection. With increased public awareness, community engagement, preventative measures, this fatal suppressed. Yet, following pandemic considerable increase health burden, transmission rate continuously over few years, indicating growing possibility become global concern. Without effective vaccines reliable options, its capacity for human-to-human potential spread throughout area could disastrous emergency worldwide.

Mpox (monkeypox) infection has become a global concern for healthcare authorities after spreading in multiple non-endemic countries. Following the sudden multi-country outbreak of Mpox, World Health Organization (WHO) declared public health emergency international concern. We do not have any vaccines approved prevention infection. Therefore, endorsed smallpox disease. Here we intended to perform this cross-sectional study among adult males Bangladesh assess vaccine perception and vaccination intention. We conducted web-based survey from September 1, 2022, November 30, using Google Forms. assessed intention. performed chi-square test compare intention levels. Also, logistic regression analyses determine association between parameters sociodemographic profile participants.According present study, was high 60.54% respondents. 60.05% respondents showed medium were strongly associated with profiles participants. Furthermore, discovered significant level education age marital status played role intention. Our findings characteristics perception/vaccination Along country's long experience mass immunization, campaigns about Covid-19 rates might play recommend more social awareness educational communications or seminars target population bring positive changes their attitude towards prevention.

Abstract Mutations of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) are always going on. The pathogenic characteristics a virus influenced by mutations in viral genome. Therefore, recently identified Omicron BF.7 subvariant might harm humans. Here we aimed to evaluate potential risks this newly detected variant and identify possible mitigation strategies. frequent mutation associated with SARS‐CoV‐2 makes it more concerning compared other viruses. has unique changes structural amino acid. Thus, subvariants different from variants terms spread, disease severity, vaccine neutralization capacity, immunity evade. Moreover, is an offspring BA.4 BA.5. Similar S glycoprotein sequences present among BF.7, BA.4, There change R346T gene receptor binding site than subvariants. This created limitation current monoclonal antibody therapy. mutated since emerged, improving transmission as well evasion. healthcare authorities should pay attention Omicron. recent upsurge may create havoc all sudden. Scientists researchers across world monitor nature variants. Also, they find ways fight circulatory any future mutations.

Marburg virus disease (MVD) caused by the has a high mortality rate. Rousettus aegyptiacus fruit bats act as natural reservoir host of virus. But it can also potentially be transmitted from person to through direct contact with body secretions. The recent outbreaks have already killed seven people out nine confirmed cases in Equatorial Guinea and five patients eight Tanzania. In past, Ghana reported three MVD two associated deaths 2022. Specific treatments or vaccines are unavailable for MVD, supportive care is primary treatment option. history current scenario show its potential become an emerging threat global public health. Tanzania fatality absence effective raises concerns about cause widespread harm. Besides, capacity human-to-human transmission cross country's border could result multicountry outbreak. Therefore, we recommend intensive surveillance preventative measures, early detection limit spread prevent another pandemic.

Abstract Background Fear of a global public health issue and fresh infection wave in the persistent COVID-19 pandemic has been enflamed by appearance novel variant Omicron BF.7 lineage. Recently, it seeing subtype lineage sprawled exponentially Hohhot. More than anything, risk stratification is significant to ascertain patients infected with who most need in-hospital or in-home management. The study intends understand clinical severity epidemiological characteristics subvariant BF.7. via gathering analyzing cases Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. Methods Based upon this, we linked individual-level information including sex, age, symptom, underlying conditions vaccination record. Further, divided into various groups assessed according symptoms COVID-19. Clinical indicators data might help predict disadvantage outcomes progression among patients. Results In this study, severe symptoms, some from real world such as white blood cells, AST, ALT CRE were significantly higher mild asymptomatic patients, while lower. Conclusions Above results suggested that associated ponderance symptoms. Our survey emphasized value timely investigations obtained systemic acquire detailed information.
