This research looks at how the growth of cities and industries affects levels heavy metals in soil, which can impact people's health. We find out where pollution comes from, such as factories, car fumes, improper waste disposal, by reviewing existing studies. use different methods to test soil for study exposure these urban areas The evidence shows a connection between high city health problems like breathing issues, brain disorders, overall toxicity body. also explore get into human body, highlighting importance understanding they are available ways people exposed. To deal with polluted soils, we look manage suggest sustainable reduce metal pollution. Our discoveries add what know about environmental health, emphasizing need actions protect residents. Ultimately, this aims give important information insights policymakers, planners, public officials managing lessening risks linked contamination soils.

Cadmium (Cd) can adversely damage plant growth. Therefore, understanding the control molecular mechanisms of Cd accumulation will benefit development strategies to reduce in plants. This study performed transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses on roots a Cd-tolerant Tartary buckwheat cultivar following 0 h (CK), 6 (T1), 48 (T2) treatment. The fresh weight root length were not significantly inhibited under T1 treatment but they T2 root's ultrastructure was seriously damaged evidenced by deformed cell walls, altered shape number organelles. A total 449, 999 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) eight, 37 metabolites (DEMs) identified CK versus comparison, respectively. DEGs analysis found that expression related wall function, glutathione (GSH) metabolism, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis changed during stress. Several WRKY, MYB, ERF, bHLH transcription factors transporters also responded Our results indicate stress affects function GSH metabolism changes these pathways might contribute tolerance buckwheat.

Stress granules (SGs) are conserved messenger ribonucleoprotein (mRNP) that form through rapid coalescence in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells under stressful environments. These dynamic membrane-free organelles can respond to a variety both intracellular and extracellular stressors. Studies have shown stress conditions such as heat stress, arsenite exposure, hypoxic induce SGs formation. The formation helps mitigates effects environmental stimuli on cells, protects them from damage, promotes cell survival. This paper focuses biogenesis summarizes role regulating stress-induced male reproductive disorders, with aim exploring potential means mitigating reproduction disorders. Numerous studies demonstrated detrimental germ be effectively suppressed by timely disassembly SGs. Therefore, phosphorylation eIF2α assembly could offer promising therapeutic strategy alleviate impacts health.

ABSTRACT Female fertility has been demonstrated to be directly correlated with cadmium, a heavy metal contaminant that is widely present in the environment. N ‐acetyl cysteine (NAC), powerful antioxidant, shown have therapeutic effects for number of ailments. NAC's potential prevent ovarian toxicity caused by Cd still unknown. Therefore, objective current study was evaluate concentration‐ and time‐dependent protective effect NAC supplementation against Cd‐induced granulosa cell healthy caprine ovaries. The vitro cultured ovaries/follicles were subjected different cytotoxic (ethidium bromide acridine orange [EB/AO] staining), histomorphological, biochemical analyses during study. results revealed treatment significantly attenuated Cd‐instigated cytotoxicity cells, as evidenced diminished apoptotic attributes co‐supplemented groups compared only Cd‐exposed groups. Moreover, markedly restored decline enzymatic activity antioxidant enzymes (GST, SOD, CAT), along ferric reducing power, further diminishing formation MDA exposed ovary. findings this indicated Cd, being an toxicant, adversely affects female reproductive system. However, simultaneous administration reduced Cd‐caused damage, indicating controlling gonadotoxicity due gradually growing environmental pollution.

Graphene oxide (GO) has promising biomedical applications, but its potential toxicity to the female reproductive system is underexplored. This study investigates short-term effects of a single dose GO nanosheets on human ovarian granulosa cells, focusing mitochondrial damage. First, cell viability was detected by CCK-8 and apoptosis flow cytometry assess cytotoxicity KGN. Second, reactive oxygen species (ROS), membrane (MMP), morphology were observed confocal microscopy, sub-mitochondrial structure transmission electron microscopy (TEM), quantitative analysis ATP complex I enzyme activity luminosity value autophagy KGN cells. The 72h half-maximum effective concentration (EC50) determined be 29.73 μg/mL. induced death in dose-dependent manner, with significant even at low doses (1 μg/mL). Exposure concentrations resulted abnormal function, including breakage, damage, reduced cristae, enhanced autophagy, decreased production, MMP, enzymatic I. Mitochondrial function returned normal levels day 7 after cells left GO-exposed environment. demonstrates that exposure low-dose causes damage highlighting need for further research safety GO, particularly regarding health. However, GO-induced transient highly likely negatively affect reserve which needs verified animal models.
