Obesity is a chronic and relapsing public health problem with an extensive list of associated comorbidities. The worldwide prevalence obesity has nearly tripled over the last five decades continues to pose serious threat wider society wellbeing future generations. pathogenesis complex but diet plays key role in onset progression disease. human changed drastically across globe, estimate that approximately 72% calories consumed today come from foods were not part our ancestral diets are compatible metabolism. Additionally, multiple nutrient-independent factors, e.g., cost, accessibility, behaviours, culture, education, work commitments, knowledge societal set-up, influence food choices eating patterns. Much research been focused on ‘what eat’ or ‘how much reduce burden, increasingly evidence indicates ‘when fundamental Aligning feeding patterns 24-h circadian clock regulates wide range physiological behavioural processes health-promoting effects anti-obesity being major part. This article explores current understanding interactions between body clocks, bioactive dietary components less appreciated meal timings energy homeostasis obesity.

Abstract Alterations in the circadian system are characteristic of aging on Earth. With decline physiological processes due to aging, several health concerns including vision loss, cardiovascular disorders, cognitive impairments, and muscle mass loss arise elderly populations. Similar risks reported as “red flag” among astronauts during after a long‐term Space exploration journey. However, little is known about common molecular alterations underlying terrestrial space‐related astronauts, controversial conclusions have been recently reported. In light regulatory role clock maintenance human health, we review here overlapping both Earth spaceflight with focus four most affected systems: visual, cardiovascular, central nervous, musculoskeletal systems. this review, briefly introduce specific cellular followed by those aging. We next summarize associated spaceflight, highlighting involved clock‐regulated genes space flown Drosophila , nematodes, small mammals, astronauts. Finally, discuss that altered terms their expression spaceflight. Altogether, data elaborated strengthen our hypothesis regarding timely need include dysregulation an emerging hallmark beyond.

Circadian rhythm is a self-regulating 24-hour system that synchronizes with the day and night cycle in organisms. The regulation of this controlled by clock genes, which function to harmoniously express molecular levels facilitate orderly coordination various cellular processes, such as sleep, metabolism, endocrine function, cell proliferation immunity. root cause tumorigenesis body loses its normal growth at genetic level. Long-term disruptions circadian rhythms caused factors shift work, jet lag, unstable sleep patterns can impact health, leading health problems, including cancer. controls most functions related cancer progression, has significant on ability immune cells detect promote their clearance crucial implication for future tumor immunotherapy. This article aims review crosstalk between dysregulation tumorigenesis, response. Additionally, we discuss role disruption therapy, highlighting potential optimize treatment timing improve therapeutic outcomes.

Abstract Background Previous research has made use of the Homeostatic Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) index to explore association between shiftwork (SW) and insulin resistance (IR). However, limitations HOMA-IR restrict its use. This study aimed investigate relationship SW IR in professional drivers using four alternative non-insulin-based surrogate measures (NIRS), determine predictors elevated NIRS. Methods A comparative cross-sectional was conducted on at Egyptian companies, where 187 were compared 193 dayworkers (DW). Measurements included: sociodemographic, work, clinical characteristics. Laboratory NIRS data triglyceride glucose (TyG), glucose-body mass (TyG-BMI), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C), metabolic score (METS-IR). Further assessments included insomnia severity (ISI), perceived stress scale (PSS-10). Results Shiftwork-drivers showed significantly higher levels DW-drivers. Shiftwork associated with TyG (OR: 5.04, 95% CI: 1.98–12.84), TyG-BMI 4.50, 2.45–8.26), METS-IR 6.30, 2.72–14.58). Significant interactions or meal-timing habits existed, SW-drivers clinically significant had 11 times odds DW without insomnia. Likewise, experiencing poor meal timing 5.5- 6.8-times TG/HDL-C METS-IR, respectively, divers habits. Other age, income, stress, overweight/obesity, Conclusions demonstrates a drivers. Insomnia increases among drivers, suggesting interventions targeting sleep quality, timing, management.

Circadian rhythm disruption, commonly caused by factors such as jet lag and shift work, is increasingly recognized a critical factor impairing wound healing. Although melatonin known to regulate circadian rhythms has potential in repair, its clinical application limited low bioavailability. To address these challenges, we developed an alginate-based dual-network hydrogel delivery system for melatonin, ensuring stable sustained release at the site. This approach enhances efficacy of modulating healing process. We investigated effects disruption on microenvironment under influence melatonin-loaded with focus biocompatibility, hemostatic properties, antioxidant response functions. Additionally, elucidated mechanisms which promotes Our findings provide insights into relationship between healing, offering promising strategy management chronic wounds associated disorders.

Background Although the circadian rhythm is known to influence several neurological diseases and response treatments, its potential impact on brain injury following cardiac arrest cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CA/CPR) remains unclear. Methods We performed a retrospective observational study out-of-hospital (OHCA) cases that presented emergency department of our hospital between September 2022 August 2024. Based CA/CPR onset time, all patients were divided into two cohorts: daytime nighttime groups. The gray-to white-matter signal intensity ratio (GWR) was analyzed using computed tomography (CT) images. used Cerebral Performance Category (CPC) estimate outcomes. C-reactive protein (CRP), white blood cell (WBC) count, monocyte (MONO) count levels in plasma also analyzed. Results Our included 138 patients, whom 68 subjected during (8:00 20:00) remaining 70 (20:00 8:00). imaging data showed GWR values significantly lower among compared those who daytime. Consistently, survival rates observed survivors. CPC results indicated greater number underwent rated as class 1–2 day 3, 5, 7 after achieving return spontaneous circulation (ROSC). In contrast, larger proportion survivors group 5 at same time points. Elevated protein, CA/CPR. Conclusion found (20:00–8:00) had worse outcomes treated (8:00–20:00).

Exosomes, extracellular vesicles with an average diameter of 30 ~ 150 nm, are pivotal in mediating the cellular microenvironment (CM) through their cargo-carrying capability. Despite extensive studies, dynamic and regulatory mechanisms exosomal cargoes, including lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, metabolites, remain poorly understood. In this study, we collected culture medium ovarian cancer cells at four different time points (12, 24, 36, 48 h). Exosomes were isolated using ultracentrifugation, miRNA sequencing was performed for exosomes from each group (T12, T24, T36, T48). A total 131 miRNAs identified all groups. Specifically, 41, 115, 63, 24 detected T12, T48 groups, respectively. Among these, 15 common to while 3, 57, 10, 3 unique Functional analyses target genes both specific indicated that numerous involved signaling pathways cancer-related processes. It suggested might be critical intercellular communication dynamically remodeling tumor microenvironment. These insights could enhance our understanding role biology inform development novel therapeutic strategies.
