Abstract Introduction Cannabinoids are a group of compounds that bind to cannabinoid receptors. They possess pharmacological properties like the plant Cannabis sativa . Gas chromatography (GC) is one popular chromatographic techniques has been routinely used in analysis cannabinoids different matrices. Objective The article aims review literature on application GC‐based analytical methods for phytocannabinoids published during period from January 2020 August 2023. Methodology A thorough search was conducted using databases, Web Knowledge, PubMed, Google Scholar, and other relevant materials including books. keywords used, various combinations, with being present all were cannabinoids, , marijuana, analysis, GC, quantitative, qualitative, quality control. From results, only publications incorporate GC reviewed, papers synthetic excluded. Results Since publication early 2020, several have appeared literature. While simple 1D GC–mass spectrometry (MS) GC–flame ionisation detector (FID) still quite common 2D GC‐MS GC‐MS/MS increasingly becoming popular, as these offer more useful data identification quantification use automation sample preparation utilisation mathematical computational models optimisation protocols become norm analysis. Pre‐analyses found derivatisation environmentally friendly extraction protocols. Conclusions phytocannabinoids, especially GC‐MS, remains most preferred compounds. New methods, techniques, models, approaches method introduced.

Introduction Cannabinoids, both natural and synthetic, are a subject of scientific interest. Cannabis is widely used, its impact on health the immune system being studied. The endocannabinoid influences inflammation, including Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR), potential diagnostic tool. Our study investigates connection between cannabis use NLR. Methods systematic review was registered in Prospero (#CRD42023463539). We searched six databases (PubMed, Scopus, Embase, PsycINFO, Web Science, CINAHL Complete) for records English from inception to May 2024. included observational studies that measured (NLR) users control participants. used Newcastle–Ottawa Quality Assessment Scale assess quality studies. selected random-effects model, statistical analysis performed using Stata software version 17. Results Out total 4,054 records, only five articles were inclusion meta-analysis. All these chosen utilized retrospective design. Furthermore, it's worth noting all high quality. In involving 3,359 10,437 non-users, no significant difference NLR found (WMD: 0.12 [-0.16, 0.41], I2: 39.89%). Subgroup healthy schizophrenia participants didn't show differences (p=0.76). Secondary revealed had higher Platelet-to-Lymphocyte (PLR) (67.80 [44.54, 91.06]), neutrophil count (0.68 [0.25, 1.12]), white blood cell (0.92 [0.43, 1.41]), monocyte (0.11 [0.05, 0.16]), Systemic Immune Inflammation Index (SII) (83.48 [5.92, 157.04]) compared non-users Conclusion meta-analysis reveal may affect hematologic parameters, suggesting impact. Complex associations exist, requiring further research. Schizophrenia pro-inflammatory factors discussed, highlighting need ongoing investigation into cannabis-related changes mental health. The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the organelle mainly involved in maintaining cellular homeostasis and driving correct protein folding. ER-dependent defects or dysfunctions are associated with genesis/progression of several pathological conditions, including cancer, inflammation, neurodegenerative disorders, that directly indirectly correlated to a wide set events collectively named under term "ER stress". Despite recent increase interest concerning ER activity, further research studies needed highlight all mechanisms responsible for failure. Synthetic cannabinoids (SCs) are a series of artificial chemical substances with pharmacological properties similar to those natural and their abuse poses great risk social security human health. However, the highly sensitive detection low concentrations SCs in serum remains challenge. In this work, we developed sensitive, rapid selective method for serum. Magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) nanocomposites were prepared through self-polymerization dopamine template molecules on surfaces magnetic beads. 9H-Carbazole-9-hexanol (9CH) was used as molecule because its long chain structure shared six synthetic ability provide specific recognition sites. With these MIP nanoparticles, could be rapidly effectively extracted from blood. The accurately determined by high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS) analysis. limits range 0.1-0.3 ng mL-1. proposed is characterized high sensitivity selectivity, has potential application analysis practical samples.

Background: The surge in the popularity of cannabis has led to an increase number companies producing hemp-derived consumable cannabinoid products. Despite extensive exploration efficacy, safety remains underreported. Any contaminants that are not deemed analytes interest ignored, leaving their identities and profiles a mystery. unregulated nature market places onus on reputable set industry standards for product cleanliness. Objective: This study aimed address this gap by assessing high low potency forms three popular cannabinoids – Delta 8-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ8-THC), Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), 9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol (Δ9-THCP). Methods: After identifying contaminants, products were evaluated toxicity vitro using one liver two lung cell lines effort simulate effects oral consumption inhalation. Results: Our revealed none compounds exhibited line, while all both with exception high-potency HHC sample. Conclusion: These findings highlight critical need stringent quality control industry, emphasizing importance consumers prioritize clean, well-tested ensure increasingly market.
