Coinfection with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C (HCV) remains a significant public health challenge. This retrospective, population-based study assessed the trends in hospitalization rates among patients co-infected HCV HIV Poland 2012–2022, encompassing COVID-19 pandemic massive influx of war refugees from Ukraine, demographics clinical characteristics hospitalized patients, including in-hospital case fatality rates. Background: Analyzing hospitalizations of patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is essential for an effective action plan to eliminate as a public health threat. This study aimed explore trends in HCV and factors related these hospitalizations. Methods: 11-year retrospective (2012–2022) explored Poland based on data from the Nationwide General Hospital Morbidity Study. Results: The mean age individuals was 55 years, hospitalization rates among men women 15.5 13.7 per 100,000 population, respectively.
