Creating and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships between organisations their publics is at the core of public relations practice. Social media has created new opportunities to nurture these through mediated interactions. Ideally, if participate in interactions with a dialogic orientation, they are likely have an authentic relationship.Arts globally, however, known utilise more as way managing impressions, promoting experiential nature creative products, garnering ticket sales. We, therefore, conducted thematic analysis examine this was also case New Zealand arts organisation.On examining Opera's Facebook™ posts accompanying comments; study found that social only being used for one-way impression management, without any intention stimulate into engagement.
