ABSTRACT A novel molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) against gatifloxacin based on a hybrid monomer (3‐triethoxysilylpropyl methacrylic amide, APTES‐MAA) was reported. In this study, the monolith synthesized with as template, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) cross‐linker, and APTES‐MAA functional in mixture of acetonitrile isooctane porogen via an optimization density theory (DFT). The polymers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, mercury porosimetry. resulting MIPs (HMIPs) showed high affinity selectivity to template molecule factor 16.28 ± 0.53, which 6.1 times higher than that traditional acid–based MIP. MIP used adsorbent solid‐phase extraction lake water gatifloxacin. recovery 96.52 2.69%. method exhibits advantageous features cost‐effectiveness sensitivity, rendering it promising approach for analyzing organic pollutants water.
