Abstract
Communities
in
dryland
ecosystems
face
multiple
stressors
that
threaten
their
livelihood
resilience.
While
community
resilience
socio‐ecological
systems
is
largely
determined
by
access
to
and
sustainable
management
of
natural
resources,
the
underlying
mechanisms
are
still
poorly
understood.
This
study,
which
uses
grounded
theory
integrated
with
discourse
analysis,
aims
contribute
addressing
this
knowledge
gap.
First,
we
explore
global
literature
describing
trends
patterns
various
stressors—including
climate
change,
frequent
drought,
famine,
ecological,
socio‐economic,
institutional
stressors—that
impact
these
communities,
goal
summarizing
how
sustainability
social‐ecological
systems.
Then,
using
development
goals
(
SDGs
)
as
a
reference
target,
propose
potential
entry
points
support
pathways.
These
include
land,
water,
livestock
agroforestry,
social
capital.
Lastly,
suggest
an
multi‐scalar
pathway
embedded
cross‐sectorial
policies
differential
cross‐social
strategies
towards
combining
targets.

Beibu
Gulf
Economic
Zone
(GBGEZ)
and
Guangdong–Hong
Kong–Macao
Greater
Bay
Area
(GBA)
have
rich
wetlands.
However,
long-term
maps
with
detailed
wetland
types
in
these
two
regions
are
scarce,
studies
on
the
driving
forces
of
changes
insufficient.
To
this
end,
our
study
produced
to
explore
dynamics
their
forces.
From
1990
2020,
mangrove,
tidal
flat,
coastal
shallow
water
reservoir
had
similar
change
trends
metropolitan

GBGEZ

The
Brazilian
semiarid
region
(BSR)
has
faced
severe
drought
over
the
last
three
decades,
which
led
to
a
significant
decline
in
land
productivity,
posing
considerable
threat
food
security
and
local
economy
communities.

Convention
Combat
Desertification
(UNCCD)
proposed
use
of
Earth
observation-derived
vegetation
indices
for
monitoring
degradation
across
regions.
In
this
study,
we
aim
evaluate
comprehensive
UNCCD-recommended
productivity
dynamic
(LPD)
approaches
BSR
by
utilizing
standardized
precipitation–evapotranspiration
index
(SPEI)
at
12-month
time
scales
as
benchmark
obtained
from
ground-based
measurements.

Evaluating

vulnerability

northwestern
region
Liaoning
Province,
