Constructing an ecological security pattern (ESP) is effective measure to ensure environmental safety and urban development. With the establishment of national civilization construction demonstration zone in China, higher requirements are put forward for biodiversity conservation. Previous studies have focused on identification ESPs, while few optimized ESPs based endangered species protection. This study took Yichang as research object, used geospatial data construct optimize ESPs. We identified sources through sensitivity assessment extracted corridors minimum cumulative resistance model. On this basis, innovatively introduced information, ESP discussed function zones order play a greater role The results showed that: (1) includes 12 with total area 2,186.34 km2, 30 length 1120.44 km 15 nodes. The escalating pace of urbanization and human activities presents formidable challenges to landuse patterns ecological environments. Achieving a harmonious coexistence between humans nature high quality has emerged as global imperative. Constructing an security pattern become essential approach mitigating the adverse impacts urban sprawl, safeguarding well-being, promoting healthy development ecosystems. Focusing on ecosystem sustainability, stability, integrity, this study constructed in rapidly urbanizing areas, emphasizing achieving well-balanced integration expansion preservation. Ecological sources were identified by evaluation system “ecosystem service function–ecological sensitivity–landscape connectivity”. Resistance surfaces integrating natural factors. corridors nodes extracted methods such minimum cumulative resistance gravity models. Taking Nanchang City example, results show that there 15 sources, primarily woodland, displaying distinct “island” phenomenon. As a predominant ecosystem-providing area and distinctive landscape in arid regions, an oasis plays important role maintaining land stability, human production, daily activities. Studying the dynamics of its driving factors is vital to supporting regions’ sustainable development. typical mountain–desert–oasis landscape, Turpan–Hami (Tuha) Basin, located Xinjiang, China, includes complex interactions among different types. For this study, we revealed spatio-temporal patterns transition processes using network method between 1990 2020 Tuha Basin. In network, degree value, betweenness centrality, average path length were calculated express relationship, key type, structural respectively. Six related climate change actives selected investigate forces behind transitions, including temperature precipitation growing season, total power agricultural machinery (TAMP), production raw coal (PRC), output value plantation industry (TPI), population (Pop). Our results show that natural artificial oasis, all grew from 2020, with expanding more than oasis. The transitions types became frequent as increased throughout study period. Grassland acted most type highest but importance declined due increasing complexity 2020. simpler, stability decreased. The phenological characteristics of plants can reflect both their responses to environmental changes as well an ecosystem's sensitivity climate change. The interplay between land ecological security (LES) and high-quality economic development (HED) is intricately linked to the sustainable of regions, with their combined influence at county level being pivotal for harmonious growth urban agglomerations. In this study, we employ entropy-weighted technique order preference by similarity ideal solution (EW-TOPSIS), coupling coordination degree (CCD), deviation degree, relative methodologies assess developmental status LES HED, as well these two systems, introduce a novel approach delineating functional regions. Our findings reveal pronounced polarization HED within Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region, majority areas exhibiting high but moderate imbalance. Spatial analysis highlights distinct characteristics, allowing segmentation region into seven zones.
