Varying from other identified cell death pathways, cuproptosis is a new type of regulated characterized by excess Cu ions, abnormal aggregation lipoylated proteins in TCA cycle, loss Fe-S cluster proteins, upregulation HSP70, leading to proteotoxic and oxidative stress. Cuproptosis highly concerned scientific community as the field further develops, remarkable progress has been made verification mechanism cuproptosis, methods used detect have continuously improved.
