Complex diseases and diverse clinical needs necessitate drug delivery systems (DDSs), yet the current performance of DDSs is far from ideal. Supramolecular interactions play a pivotal role in various aspects delivery, encompassing biocompatibility, loading, stability, crossing biological barriers, targeting, controlled release. Nevertheless, despite having some understanding supramolecular their incorporation frequently overlooked design development DDSs. This perspective provides brief analysis involved action with primary emphasis on employed clinic, mainly liposomes polymers, recognized phenomena research, such as protein corona. Abstract The effective combination of various polysaccharides with graphene derivatives toward the formation nanocomposites has gained enormous interest for a number emerging biological and biomedical applications. intriguing properties individual materials are further improved upon realization (nano)composites, thus providing new insights property enhancement in terms durability, flexibility, biocompatibility, low‐toxicity, antibacterial/antimicrobial behavior. Therefore, novel (nano)composite agents prepared investigated to serve as ideal carriers or scaffold regenerative medicine, biosensing, disease diagnosis treatment, drug delivery, well stem cell tissue engineering This topical review summarizes most recent studies published during last quinquennium (2018–2022), on development anticancer delivery systems (DDSs) based graphene/chitosan (CS) nanocomposites. followed synthetic routes integrated composite analyzed, discussing impact their utilization field treatment cancer types. prospects future research trends also discussed.
