This paper reviews the research progress on ionogels in flexible pressure sensors. Ionogels comprise solid carrier networks and ionic liquids (ILs) dispersed therein have good non-volatility, high conductivity, thermal stability, a wide electrochemical window, mechanical properties. These characteristics give broad application prospects wearable electronic devices, intelligent robots, healthcare. The article first introduces classification of ionogels, including based ILs networks. Then, preparation methods processing technologies such as direct mixing method, situ polymerization/gel solvent exchange are discussed. Subsequently, expounds detail properties modification toughness, hydrophobicity, self-healing, adhesiveness. Finally, focuses sensors points out challenges faced future research. language this mini-review is academic but not overly technical, making it accessible to even researchers new field establishing an overall impression We believe serves introductory resource for niche topic, with large clear references further

Ionogels, as emerging stretchable conductor materials, have garnered significant attention for their potential applications in flexible electronics, particularly wearable strain sensors. However, a persistent challenge optimizing ionogels lies achieving balance between enhanced mechanical properties and electrical conductivity. In this study, we successfully addressed by incorporating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) into ionogels, simultaneous improvement the conductivity (2.67 mS/cm) (400.83 kPa). The CNTs served dual purposes, acting continuous conductive pathway to facilitate signal transmission reinforcing bolster robustness of ionogels. Additionally, polymer network, composed acrylic acid (AA) 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), established purely physical cross-linking network characterized dense hydrogen bonding, which ensured sufficient toughness within Notably, assembled when utilized wireless sensors, demonstrated exceptional sensitivity detecting subtle finger movements, with significantly amplifying response. This work provides new insights integration expanding pioneering fresh approach functionalized ionogel design.

Electronic skin (E-skin) refers to a portable medical or health electronic device that can be worn directly on the human body and carry out perception, recording, analysis, regulation, intervention even treatment of diseases maintenance status through software support. Its main features include wearability, real-time monitoring, convenience, etc. E-skin is convenient for users wear long time continuously monitors user’s physiological data (such as heart rate, blood pressure, glucose, etc.) in real time. Health monitoring performed anytime anywhere without frequent visits hospitals clinics. integrates multiple sensors intelligent algorithms automatically analyze provide advice early warning. It has broad application prospects field. With increasing demand E-skin, development multifunctional integrated with low power consumption autonomous energy become common goal many researchers. This paper outlines latest progress disease treatment, human–computer interaction other fields. The existing problems this field are presented.
