Chiral induction in the crystallization of KIO₃ and LiIO₃, the role of amino acids in controlling the chirality of inorganic crystals.

We demonstrate chiral induction in naturally KIO 3 and LiIO crystals via amino acids. This alters crystal morphology, size, shape, enabling enantioselective crystallization, confirmed by CD, polarimetry using adsorption.
