ABSTRACT
Cannabidiol
(CBD)
and
Δ
9
‐tetrahydrocannabinol
(THC),
the
main
components
of
Cannabis
sativa
plants,
can
interact
with
specific
cell
receptors
known
as
cannabinoid
(CBs).
The
endogenous
compounds
anandamide
(AEA)
2‐arachidonoylglycerol
(2‐AG)
are
CB
agonists,
and,
alongside
enzymes,
they
constitute
endocannabinoid
system
(ECS)
take
part
in
neuromodulation.
Several
LC‐MS/MS
methods
have
been
developed
to
quantify
these
biological
matrixes,
but
a
fast
simple
method
that
determine
analytes
plasma
samples
simultaneously
is
not
available.
Here,
we
propose
disposable
pipette
extraction
technique
containing
zirconia‐based
sorbent
(DPX(Zr))
combined
UHPLC‐MS/MS
analysis
CBD,
THC,
AEA,
2‐AG
samples,
simultaneously.
combines

The
quantification
of
endocannabinoids
in
biological
fluids
is
becoming
increasingly
popular
as
an
indicator
psychological
and
physiological
function.
Numerous
methods
to
quantify
the
endocannabinoid
ligands
have
been
published
so
far,
yet
their
concentrations
responses
often
exhibit
significant
variability
across
studies.
Endocannabinoids
regulate
interact
with
a
wide
range
biomolecules,
causing
vary
between
cohorts
individuals,
sensitivities
them
depend
on
pre-experimental
behaviours
activities.
Moreover,
matrix
effects
produced
by
complex
nature
biofluids
necessitate
rigorous
sample
preparation
techniques,
all
which
introduce
opportunities
for
both
inter-
intra-assay
variability.
This
review
aims
address
causes
prior
mass
spectrometric
analysis,
including
biofluid
choice,
human
variability,
collection
extraction
methods.
If
these
factors
are
fully
considered
standardised
introduced,
may
become
more
reliable,
allowing
utility
clinical
markers
progress.

Abstract
Evidence
from
preclinical
animal
models
suggests
that
the
stress-buffering
function
of
endocannabinoid
(eCB)
system
may
help
protect
against
stress-related
reductions
in
hippocampal
volume,
as
is
documented
major
depressive
disorder
(MDD).
However,
stress
exposure
also
lead
to
dysregulation
this
system.
Thus,
pathways
marked
histories,
such
childhood
maltreatment
(CM),
smaller
volumes
and
MDD
humans
depend
on
dysregulated
versus
intact
eCB
functioning.
We
examined
whether
relation
between
peripheral
concentrations
would
vary
a
CM
history.
Further,
we
eCBs
moderate
CM/MDD
volume.
Ninety-one
adults
with
62
healthy
comparison
participants
(HCs)
were
recruited
for
study
Canadian
Biomarker
Integration
Network
Depression
program
(CAN-BIND-04).
The
eCBs,
anandamide
(AEA)
2-arachidonylglycerol
(2-AG),
assessed
blood
plasma.
Severe
history
was
retrospectively
via
contextual
interview.
associated

AEA

HCs
