BACKGROUND In the digital age, there is an emerging area of research focusing on well-being (DWB), yet conceptual frameworks this novel construct are lacking. The current conceptualization either approaches concept as absence ill-being, running risk pathologizing individual use, or follows general subjective framework, failing to highlight complex nature at play. OBJECTIVE This preregistered study aimed address gap by using a network analysis, which examined strength relationships among affective (digital stress and web-based hedonic well-being), cognitive (online intrinsic needs satisfaction), social connectedness state empathy) dimensions DWB their associations with some major protective factors (ie, emotional regulation, nomophobia, literacy, self-control, problematic internet coping styles, online exposure). METHODS participants were 578 adults (mean age 38.7, SD 13.14 y; 277/578, 47.9% women) recruited from United Kingdom States who completed survey. Abstract Network approaches to psychopathology have become increasingly common in mental health research, with many theoretical and methodological developments quickly gaining traction. This article illustrates contemporary practices applying network analytical tools, bridging the gap between concepts their empirical applications. We explain how we can use graphs construct networks representing complex associations among observable psychological variables. then discuss key models, including dynamic networks, time‐varying models derived from panel data, intervention analysis, latent moderated models. In addition, Bayesian role causal inference a focus on cross‐sectional data. After presenting different methods, theories meaningfully inform each other. conclude discussion that summarizes insights technique provide research.

BACKGROUND Many mental health conditions (e.g., substance use or panic disorders) involve long-term patient assessment and treatment. Growing evidence suggests that the progression presentation of these may be highly individualized. Digital sensing predictive modeling can augment scarce clinician resources to expand personalize care. This manuscript discusses techniques process data into risk predictions, for instance lapse a with alcohol disorder (AUD). Of particular interest are idiographic approaches fit personalized models each patient. OBJECTIVE bridges two active research areas in health: prediction time-series modeling. Existing work has focused on machine learning (ML) classifier approaches, typically trained at population level. In contrast, psychological explanatory relied techniques. The authors propose state space (SSMs), an framework, as alternative ML classifiers prediction. METHODS used 3-month observational study participants (N=148) early recovery from AUD. Using once-daily ecological momentary assessments (EMA), SSMs compared their performance logistic regression gradient-boosted classifiers. Performance was evaluated using area under receiver operating characteristic curve (auROC) three tasks: same-day lapse, within 3 days, 7 days. To mimic real-world use, changes auROC when were given access increasing amounts participant’s EMA (15, 30, 45, 60, 75 days). Bayesian hierarchical compare benchmark techniques, specifically analyzing posterior estimates mean model auROC. RESULTS Posterior strongly suggested had best all tasks 30+ days participant data. With 15 data, results varied by task. probabilities (first quartile, median, third quartile), (.877, .997, .999), (.992, .999, (.995, .998, .999). .732, <.001, <.001. CONCLUSIONS compelling traditional support fitting, even rare outcomes, offer better than existing approaches. Further, estimate patient’s behavior, making them ideal stepping beyond frameworks optimal treatment selection administered digital therapeutics platform). Abstract Objective Prefrontal seizures pose significant challenges in accurately identifying the complex interactions between clinical manifestations and brain electrophysiological activities. This proof‐of‐concept study aims to propose a new approach rigorously support electroclinical reasoning field of epilepsy. Methods We analyzed stereoelectroencephalographic data from 42 patients with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy, whose involved prefrontal cortex at seizure onset. Semiological activities features were scored by expert observers. performed symptom network analysis semiological feature hybrid analysis, coupling ictal Centrality measures used identify most influential networks. Results Our identified impairment consciousness as central network. In network, anterior cingulate area (here incorporating Brodmann [BA]‐32 and/or rostral part BA‐24) emerged activity feature. Significance By integrating into networks, offers an effective quantitative tool for examining relationships semiology correlates seizures. provides opportunity advance novel investigate intricacies correlations, sustaining development dynamic models, on different series epilepsies, larger cohorts, automatically extracted artificial intelligence, that better reflect temporal spatial complexities propagation

To identify the core supportive care needs of ostomy patients across postoperative period using network analysis to inform targeted interventions. This cross-sectional study was conducted according STROBE guidelines. included 588 from three tertiary Grade-A hospitals in China between December 2023 and March 2024. Supportive were assessed an adapted version short form Care Needs Survey. Data analysed descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA explore interconnections centrality symptoms four periods (< 1, 1-3, 4-6 > 6 months). varied significantly undergoing ostomy. The Stoma Support domain consistently achieved highest scores all stages. Central differed by period, featuring 'feeling down or depressed' 1 month), 'acquiring knowledge stoma complication management' (1-3 months), 'gaining bag prices extended use' (4-6 months) 'keeping a positive outlook' (> vary periods, with identifying stage-specific symptoms. These findings provide foundation for Tailored, strategies are crucial addressing dynamic patients. Early psychological support, mid-recovery practical guidance long-term resilience-building interventions can improve patient outcomes. None.

ABSTRACT Insomnia and hypersomnolence symptoms are prevalent among university students, yet their assessment methods face limitations, the relationship between these remains underexplored. We examined structural invariance of Sleep Condition Indicator (SCI) Idiopathic Hypersomnia Severity Scale (IHSS) in students. In addition, we proposed a network approach to insomnia symptoms. A total 433 students underwent clinical interview for sleep socio‐demographics completed SCI IHSS. Confirmatory factorial analyses were conducted. The demonstrated two‐factor structure, while IHSS exhibited three‐factor structure. Over 70% scored above threshold, 36.5% diagnosed with insomnia.
