Introduction Obesity, defined by a high body mass index (BMI), is significant global health issue that has increased over recent decades, leading to higher rates of type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, and some cancers. Aim To explore the demographic, socioeconomic, lifestyle factors affecting obesity in medical professionals, identify causes, create effective weight control strategies. Material methods A cross-sectional study 200 physicians utilized face-to-face interviews standardized questionnaire gather data on demographics, lifestyle, management, with BMI assessed according WHO guidelines. Results discussion In Babylon, troubling 75.5% are overweight or obese, highest among women aged 46, likely due menopause. Additionally, 78% those who do not exercise regularly have elevated levels. Factors like job stress ineffective management exacerbate obesity, particularly private clinic physicians. Notably, 56.5% physician’s express dissatisfaction their weight, especially categories. Conclusions reveals strong correlation between age female physicians, soaring 59.1% 46 older, primarily Overall, fall into obese categories, middle-aged individuals. Key influencing include insufficient failed loss efforts. Furthermore, there notable inverse relationship individuals compared normal weight.
