Abstract
To
advance
the
theoretical
and
practical
underpinnings
for
nature
therapies,
i.e.
exposure
as
a
means
to
improve
mental
health,
we
compared
most
memorable
sensory
experiences
reported
by
forest
tourists
in
Australia,
Chile,
China
Japan.
Sensory
are
fundamental
driver
of
psychological
effects
exposure.
We
first
reviewed
relevant
research
from
each
country
language.

conducted
100
on‐site
interviews
>500
China,
compiled
1000
social
media
posts
analysed
these
datasets
using
directed‐content
qualitative
thematic
analyses,

original
languages
translated
texts,
