Abstract Aim This retrospective study investigated the relationship among psychiatric consultation history, method of suicide, and background information individuals who died by based on postmortem obtained from Osaka Prefectural Medical Examiner's Office. Methods We analyzed data 343 cases suicide that occurred in City 2017, focusing factors associated with a history consultations. The Cochran–Armitage trend test was used to evaluate whether there significant linear distribution case counts across 10‐year age groups. Univariate multivariate logistic regression analyses were identify consultations prior death. Results results revealed female sex, attempts, choosing jumping as compared hanging Factors not having death being employed (compared unemployed), student older younger). no counts.
