Today, due to the increasing interest in hybrid education environments and technology integration into course, mobile devices have started be used face-to-face classroom lessons. In addition many advantages of using classroom, it also leads some undesirable situations. One is related developing students’ habits playing digital games during lesson. This research aimed determine relationship between game addiction selfishness, one individual differences, on their academic motivation engagement. Participants were 860 high school students grades 9 12. The a correlational design. result path analysis revealed that selfishness was addiction; as level increased, probability increased. Also, associated with not engagement, such that, levels engagement Recommendations for what can done increase are discussed.

Digital game addiction and problematic internet use have emerged as significant issues, attracting growing attention from educators, psychologists, policymakers. This study aimed to examine the mediating role of emotional regulation self-efficacy moderating in effect digital on academic motivation Turkish adolescents. A correlational research method was utilized address questions. total 1156 high school students voluntarily participated study. Self-report questionnaires (the Short Academic Motivation Scale, Game Addiction Regulatory Emotional Self-Efficacy Scale Young’s Internet Form) were used collect data 2024. In analysis data, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient, mediator moderator analyses conducted using statistical software. The provided evidence negative motivation.
