Abstract Trichogramma spp. (Hymenoptera: Trichogrammatidae) are generalist egg parasitoids widely used as biological control agents, yet with limited efficacy against Tuta absoluta (Meyrick; Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), a key pest of tomato. Olfactory cues related to the host-plant complex influence searching behavior in parasitoids. Studies have shown that female can learn odor affecting their preference. We assessed if learning increases response tomato and whether it improves parasitism rate achaeae , evanescens, dendrolimi . Tomato is the most preferred host plant for Tuta absoluta, a newly emerged devastating invasive pest in China. However, no study has evaluated damage risk of T. absoluta on processed tomato worldwide. In current study, life table parameters were systematically investigated five cultivars (one fresh cultivar, four cultivars) to determine their susceptibility infestation. had better population growth ability tomato, “Dafen”, showing shorter duration preadult stage, higher lifetime fecundity, and intrinsic rate increase compared cultivars. Abstract Tomato cultivation is threatened by the infestation of nocturnal invasive tomato pinworm, Tuta absoluta . This study was based on field observations that a wild plant, Solanum lycopersicum var. cerasiforme , grown in Mount Kenya region, Kenya, less attacked T. absoluta, unlike cultivated plants like S. (var. Rambo F1). We hypothesized plant may be actively avoided gravid females because emission repellent allelochemical constituents. Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) is a devastating invasive pest worldwide. The abamectin and chlorantraniliprole complex have become an alternative option for chemical control because they can enhance insecticidal activity delay increased drug resistance. The tomato leafminer, Tuta absoluta (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae), is a highly destructive invasive pest targeting Solanaceae crops. Its olfactory system plays crucial role in host location, mate finding, and other behavioral activities. However, there notable gap the literature regarding characterization of its chemosensory genes. In this study, we conducted genome-wide identification 58 odorant receptors (ORs) T. absoluta. identified ORs exhibit coding sequence (CDS) lengths ranging from 1062 bp to 1419 bp, encoding proteins 354 473 amino acids. Gene structure analysis showed that majority these consist five, seven, eight, or nine exons, collectively representing 67% total identified. Through chromosomal mapping, several tandemly duplicate genes, including TabsOR12a, TabsOR12b, TabsOR12c, TabsOR21a, TabsOR21b, TabsOR34a, TabsOR34b, TabsOR34c, TabsOR62a, TabsOR62b. phylogenetic indicated six TabsORs were clustered within lepidopteran sex pheromone receptor clade, while an expansion clade containing ten resulted tandem duplication events. Additionally, five classified into specific OR Furthermore, through RNA-Seq RT-qPCR analyses, (TabsOR21a, TabsOR26a, TabsOR36) exhibiting female-antennae-biased expression.
