Overexpression of carboxyl/cholinesterase (CCE) genes has been reported to be associated with many cases pesticide resistance in arthropods. However, it rarely documented that CCE participate spirodiclofen Panonychus citri. In previous research, we found is related increased P450 and enzyme activities P. this study, identified two genes, PcCCE3 PcCCE5, which were significantly upregulated spirodiclofen-resistant strain after exposure spirodiclofen. RNA interference PcCCE5 the susceptibility vitro metabolism indicated could interact spirodiclofen, but metabolites detected only treatment. Our results participates through direct metabolism, may involved by passive binding sequestration, provides new insights into

The present study reported the discovery of sesterdiaporate (SES), a structurally unique antifungal sesterterpene lactone from Diaporthe sp. HT-79. SES exhibited pronounced inhibitory effect on spore germination and mycelial growth Penicillium italicum, with median effective concentrations (EC50) 0.37 0.079 μg/mL, respectively. This was significantly more than that observed prochloraz (0.74 6.83 respectively). Treatment resulted in swelling both spores mycelia P. italicum as well an increase cell membrane permeability. Further investigation suggested may disrupt glycosylphosphatidylinositol biosynthesis, ultimately leading to death. In vivo tests navel orange fruit showed reducing diameter lesions caused by lesion inhibition percentage 49.4% at concentration 3.7 which superior (14.2% same concentration).

Phthorimaea absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) poses a significant challenge in tomato cultivation owing to its increasing resistance various insecticide classes. This study aimed characterize the of field-collected P. population abamectin, focusing on genetic aspects and cross-resistance with other chemical groups, monitoring frequency populations. Significant variability abamectin susceptibility was observed across populations, ratios ranging from 2.6- (Juazeiro) 538-fold (Gravatá). Selective pressure Gravatá led 50-fold increase over 16 generations (h2 = 0.186). Abamectin exhibited incomplete recessiveness, female bias polyfactorial inheritance involving at least seven genes. Field populations showed ≤56% (homozygous) diagnostic concentration 5 mg L-1, although control failure not imminent. Cross-resistance emamectin benzoate milbemectin were 1 893 000- 4506-fold, respectively, indicating shared mechanism. Brazilian is notably high, yet few are nearing failure. The pattern, characterized by maternal linkage, underscores complexity managing resistance. Additionally, broad spectrum insecticides suggests diverse mechanisms play, emphasizing need for tailored management strategies within this class. © 2025 Society Chemical Industry.

Liriomyza trifolii is an economically significant, invasive pest of horticultural and vegetable crops. The larvae form tunnels in foliage hasten senescence death. Outbreaks L. often erupt hot weather are driven by thermotolerance; furthermore, the poor effectiveness pesticides has made outbreaks more severe. But it still unclear whether development insecticide tolerance will contribute to thermotolerance trifolii.

Abstract BACKGROUND The citrus red mite, Panonychus citri (McGregor) is a globally distributed agricultural pest. Of late, resistance to common acaricides has raised concerns that chemical control of P. an inefficient means control. Fluralaner, highly toxic isoxazoline insecticide used treat various ectoparasites, presents one potential alternative. However, little information been reported about the effect fluralaner on mite. This study aims evaluate toxicity, sublethal and transgenerational effects . RESULTS In both laboratory field populations , we found be more than conventional alternatives, including fenpropathrin, bifenazate, azocyclotin chlorpyrifos. Interestingly, proved female adults eggs with median lethal concentrations ( LC 50 ) 2.446 122.7 mg L −1 respectively. Exposure 10 20 30 significantly reduced fecundity longevity individuals. Although applied parental F 0 led some changes in developmental parameters, there were no significant most life table parameters or population growth 1 generation. CONCLUSION Our results indicate could suppress but not for Fluralaner may considered as pesticide future management © 2024 Society Chemical Industry.

Broad-spectrum crop protection technologies, such as abamectin and bifenthrin, are globally relied upon to curb the existential threats from economic pests generalist herbivore Tetranychus urticae Koch (TSSM). However, rising cost of discovering registering new acaricides, particularly for specialty crops, along with increasing risk pesticide resistance development, underscores urgent need preserve efficacy currently registered acaricides. This study examined overall genetic mechanism underlying adaptation bifenthrin in T. populations commercial hop fields Pacific Northwestern region USA. A transcriptomic was conducted using four (susceptible, abamectin-resistant, two bifenthrin-resistant populations). Differential gene expression analysis revealed a notable disparity, significantly more downregulated genes than upregulated both resistant populations. Gene ontology enrichment striking consistency among all three populations, predominately associated chitin metabolism. In contrast, were linked biological processes, peptidase activity oxidoreductase activity. Proteolytic by enzymes abamectin- TSSM may suggest their involvement acaricide These findings provide valuable insights into molecular mechanisms TSSM. knowledge can be utilized develop innovative pesticides diagnostic tools effectively monitoring managing
