Expression of double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) in plants is an emerging strategy to efficiently control insects. RNA interference (RNAi)-mediated pest takes advantage that can suppress the expression one or more insect genes encode key proteins. Virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) a useful tool for plant dsRNAs pests without altering plant's genome. Trehalase (TRE) and chitin synthase (CHS) are very important In this study, we first demonstrated spraying targeting CHS TRE increased mortality rate peach aphid Myzus persicae treated with pathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. When mpTRE mpCHS were expressed via VIGS, was reduced aphids, their fertility survival rates decreased. These results indicate VIGS-mediated powerful approach effectively aphids had higher when M. anisopliae sprayed.

Spodoptera frugiperda was used to investigate its role as a trehalase inhibitor of three new thiothiazolidone compounds—6d, 6e, and 6f. The development reproduction S. were investigated evaluate the potential these compounds novel pesticide for pest control. Compounds 6d, 6f injected into larvae female pupae. Molecular changes in trehalose chitin metabolism genes monitored. Pupal activity, pupal emergence rate, ovarian development, SfVg SfVgR gene expression levels assessed. results revealed that all significantly inhibited activity larvae. TRE downregulated, 6d downregulated TRE2. Treated exhibited decreased survival rates higher incidence abnormalities. egg production hatching markedly diminished by inhibitors, ovaries displayed blackening clumping. These exhibit promise eco-friendly insecticides, but further experiments are required test their multifaceted capabilities.
