Abstract Phytol (PHY), a chlorophyll side chain diterpenoid possesses many health benefits, including neurological activities. A previous report evaluated its anti-depressive effects in mice without any possible mechanism. Our current study aimed at the evaluation of effect PHY with molecular mechanisms through in vivo and silico studies. For this, adult male were randomly divided into six individual groups (n = 6), namely control (vehicle), two standards (DZP: diazepam 2 m/kg, FLU: flumazenil 0.1 mg/kg), three test (PHY 25, 50, 75 combined GABA agonist drug DZP (2 mg/kg) and/or antagonist FLU (0.1 mg/kg. Thirty minutes after treatment, each animal was subjected to tail-suspension forced-swimming tests their immobility time counted for five minutes. The studies also performed GABAA receptor α2 α5 subunits investigate mechanism behind this samples. results demonstrate that significantly (p < 0.05) dose-dependently reduced (IMT) both protocols. It increased IMT values DZP-2, while reducing parameter FLU-01. In exhibited binding affinities by − 5.2 6.9 kcal/mol, respectively. Taken together, exerted an antidepressant capacity mice. modulated FLU. may expert possibly interacting receptor. be one good candidates management depression.

Abstract Berries are highly valued for their rich phenolic content, particularly anthocyanins, which known antioxidative properties and potential effectiveness against depression. This study identified quantified anthocyanin profiles in blueberry, blackberry, black mulberry, cranberry using ultra‐performance liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (UPLC–MS), followed by vivo evaluation of antidepressant‐like activities. Blueberry mulberry showed significant levels cyanidin‐3‐galactoside cyanidin. Acute supplementation with these berries decreased serum corticosterone increased monoamine neurotransmitters, while chronic enhanced activity reduced neuroinflammation the hippocampus mice. These findings indicate that neurochemical, antioxidative, anti‐inflammatory effects blueberry mediate therapeutic role cyanidin may be valuable developing functional foods, dietary supplements, pharmacological formulations mental health improvement.

Abstract Study background: Linalool (LIN) has some important neuropharmacological activities, including anxiolytic and sedative effects. It is also clear that it protects experimental animals from convulsions Alzheimer's disease. On the other hand, caffeine (CAF) sclareol (SCL) have neurostimulatory potential. Aim To evaluate effect possible molecular mechanisms of CAF with LIN and/or SCL through in vivo silico studies. Methodology: (10 mg/kg) alone or (50 were intraperitoneally (i.p.) treated before thirty minutes pentobarbital sodium (TS) injection (40 mg/kg, i.p.) to mice observed for latency duration sleep up 4 hours. understand action these drugs, we performed docking studies GABAA receptor respective submits. Results Findings suggest exerted significant (p < 0.05) effects on animals. in their combinations significantly reduced LIN’s mice. CAF, LIN, showed binding affinities ‒5.7, ‒4.7, ‒7.4 kcal/mol 6X3X (α1 β2 subunits), respectively. Conclusion effects, while this We suppose drugs may exert intrecation pathway. Further are required confirm results.
