Investing in renewable energy is of utmost importance, especially the context addressing climate change. However, while numerous studies have explored role achieving carbon neutrality, there a noticeable gap literature regarding how uncertainties affect impact on electric power CO2. To bridge this gap, present study employs recently developed nonparametric techniques, namely multivariate quantile-on-quantile regression (MQQR) and time-varying quantile causality (TVQC), to investigate relationship between CO2 presence uncertainties. The utilizes monthly data spanning from January 1988 May 2023. bivariate results reveal that low contribute improving ecological quality by reducing Furthermore, highlight substantial influence lowering Additionally, TVQC analysis demonstrates both possess predictive sector discoveries showcase subject external moderation. suggested policy framework structured assist United States accomplishing goals outlined SDG 7.

Challenges brought on by the rapid rate of economic growth include depletion natural resources (NAR) and environmental deterioration. Due to its abundant mineral growth, China has gained attention from both developing developed worlds. Using data 1970/Q1 2020/Q4, this paper evaluates time‐frequency nexus between CO 2 emissions resources, coal consumption, growth. The study employs Wavelet Local Multiple Correlation (WLMC) explore nexus. This approach enhances capacity comprehend fundamental relationships these indicators at different frequencies. To best investigator' knowledge, is first empirical investigation resource, use, in China, thus filling a gap literature. Furthermore, wavelet coherence employed as robustness check. WLMC bivariate cases revealed that drive positively all frequencies, is, short long‐term, leading degradation. results support outcomes cases. offers significant implications for policy insights are supported findings.

Abstract The curtailment of carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions plays a pivotal role in realizing sustainable development goals, protecting the environment, mitigating climate change, and preserving biodiversity for cleaner more resilient future. Thus, it is essential to adopt comprehensive approaches that prioritize energy efficiency, renewable energy, urbanization achieve prosperous This study employs wavelet analysis methods, involving Wavelet correlation covariance, coherence (WTC), cohesion (WC), Wavelet‐based Granger causality (WCT), examine time frequency‐based interactions between variables over period 1990–2020. empirical reveals significant negative among CO efficiency measures such as coal gas short‐, medium‐, long‐term frequency domains. Abstract Considering a vast majority of application areas, the study investigates how environmental tax (ET) affects ecological footprint. In this context, examines European Union Five (EU5) countries, considers footprint (EF) as proxy environment, uses ET tax-based measures by making both disaggregated (i.e., energy and transport) aggregated level analysis, performs novel nonlinear quantile-based approaches for period from 1995/Q1 to 2021/Q4. The outcomes show that on EF (i) energy-related has only declining effect at lower middle quantiles in Germany Italy, whereas it does not have curbing other countries; (ii) transport-related is effective any country, which means effect; (iii) total decreasing Germany; (iv) alternative method validates robustness. Thus, demonstrates changing across quantiles, types EF. Hence, can be suggested go relying further practices decrease EF, there long way remaining EU5 countries well
