Inland areas are suffering from depopulation and a lack of services, with many citizens deciding to move the city. Smart cities require decentralised collective energy model in form renewable communities (RECs). This work aims propose an economic analysis residential photovoltaic systems within REC according different incentive market scenarios. For this scope, Net Present Value (NPV) is used both baseline alternative scenarios showing very good profitability, confirmed by sensitivity, scenario risk analysis. It therefore evident how avoided cost bill has decisive impact on result amplified virtuous behaviour consumption synchronous production phase. Subsequent analyses concern profits obtained divided among prosumers it shown that revenues shared partial profile may be right compromise. In order consider more realistic case additional consumer analysed REC. The proposed show interesting policy implications: subsidies key factors for sustainable based green consumption.

Abstract Sustainable tourism can combine recreation for people, economic opportunities entrepreneurs, and environmental protection, but mountain tourism, climate change the predicted reductions in snowfall require urgent action. Therefore, this study aims to identify sustainable strategies consumption patterns using a multi‐criteria decision methodology data collected through an online survey expert opinions. The results show importance of stakeholder engagement relevance three strategies: (i) zero‐emission lodges; (ii) energy communities, (iii) ski lifts. As well as pointing out need sustainability awareness education. While respondents pay great deal attention sustainability, analysis highlights policy interventions safeguard tourism: financing conversion facilities; expanding infrastructure reach resorts, rewarding consumers choosing certified resort.

Photovoltaic (PV) systems are becoming essential to our energy landscape as renewable sources become more widely integrated into power networks. Preserving grid stability, especially during voltage sags, is one of the significant difficulties confronting implementation these technologies. This attribute referred low-voltage ride-through (LVRT). To overcome this issue, adopting a Proportional-Integral (PI) controller, control system standard, proving be an efficient solution. paper provides unique algorithm-based approach Marine Predator Algorithm (MPA) for optimized tuning used PI mainly focusing on inverter control, improve LVRT grid, leading improvements in overshoot, undershoot, settling time, and steady-state response system. The fitness function using MPA determine settings controller. process helps optimally design controllers optimally, thus improving performance enhancing system’s capability. methodology tested case 3L-G fault. test its validity, proposed compared with rival standard optimization-based controllers, namely Grey Wolf Optimization Particle Swarm Optimization. comparison shows that algorithm better results higher convergence rate overshoot ranging from 14% 40% less DC-Link Voltage active also times being than PSO GWO by 0.76 0.95 s.

Heat pumps replacing existing gas furnaces, the predominant heating system in Europe, are crucial for achieving global CO2 emission reduction targets. Previous studies have simulated this potential a few buildings, revealing substantial variations results. Moreover, additional reductions proven to be possible with photovoltaic installations and battery energy storage systems. However, as these come high investment costs, question remains whether economically viable. building stock shows degree of diversity heat demand is dependent on annual weather conditions, cost-effectiveness incorporating photovoltaics or systems should analyzed all buildings city over multiple years. In paper, we address questions by utilizing digital twin German encompassing residential capturing stock. Our findings indicate that retrofitting pumps, only considering system, reduces average emissions 18.6% 38.9% across different The variance reduction, up 1.6 percentage points, not year-dependent. maximum level achieved combining most averaging 31.2% 43.6% even Central European climate low winter generation. Economically, pump retrofit installation emerges beneficial setting studied city, effectively balancing cost reduction.

Scholars are increasingly prioritising sustainability as the driving force behind their research efforts, and many businesses placing customer at centre of agendas. Hospitality facilities, such hotels, also making concerted efforts to mitigate climate change. The present study proposed a analysis installation photovoltaic (PV) system replacement conventional lighting with light emitting diode (LED) bulbs in hotel, considering economic, environmental social dimensions. results showed that NPV varied between 967–3624 €/kW for PV system, 100% probability achieving positive high market scenario 79–84% same low scenario. Concerning energy efficiency, adoption LED determined range 105–216 €/bulb. These figures were highly dependent on percentage self-consumed purchase price electricity. Environmental analyses indicated could lead an emissions reduction 422 gCO2eq/kWh, translating 61 tCO2eq/year. In addition, underscored significance renewable installations energy-efficiency interventions support ecological transition. However, consumer choices within hotels did not consistently align sustainable models. Notably, green premium 13.2 €/day was recognised using systems, 8.3 those smart lighting. advocate pragmatic model sees investments enhancing hotel's sustainability. shift attitudes is necessary fully realise this potential.

ABSTRACT Sustainable challenges have become a priority for governments and businesses seeking to advance the decarbonization process. Within national energy strategies, renewable communities (RECs) are emerging as key mechanism achieving not only environmental economic goals—supported by incentive policies—but also social goals, they actively engage citizens, businesses, utility companies. The present study focused on role played citizens conducting analysis based an online survey across Italy, examining sustainable behaviors, habits, perceptions, dynamics of potential prosumers. results showed that there is widespread concern about climate change; yet, this accompanied adequate level information. In addition, respondents exhibited preference protective regulatory frameworks over full liberalization sector. Awareness RECs remains limited, with two‐thirds sample familiar concept. However, prior knowledge correlated greater inclination participate in such communities. Economic factors (including sale prices, purchase exchange prices) crucial shaping respondents' willingness RECs, sought equilibrium among these financial elements. Ultimately, component appears fundamental acceptance prosumerism, positioning viable pathway toward development.
