Background: Dietary habits are pivotal for population health and well-being, yet remain a pressing global issue, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), where economic instability institutional challenges exacerbate dietary problems. Despite extensive research, there is notable gap the literature regarding direct interactive effects of quality inflationary shocks on habits. Abstract Background Food insecurity and environmental degradation pose significant threats to health outcomes in South Asia, necessitating effective policy interventions. Therefore, this study aims examine the impact of food on outcome indicators amidst global inflationary shocks institutional quality arrangements. Additionally, it explore intricate moderating role relationship between insecurity, endogenous variables, external shocks. Method In alignment with study’s objectives, a set panel data spanning from 2000 2021 is compiled for Asia. The introduces novel variable representing shock, crafted through integration inflation datapoints application generalized autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity model. distinctive aggregate index formulated, drawing six key measures Worldwide Governance indicators. To scrutinize effects degradation, other explanatory employs two-step system method moment technique, offering robust analytical approach uncover complex relationships dynamics region. Results results indicate that prevalence undernourishment, inequality per capita calorie intake, CO 2 emissions significantly reduce life expectancy increase mortality rates. shows kilocalorie supply, GDP, expenditures, urbanization are statistically increasing decreasing findings reveal severely affect factors, exerting further pressure contemporary rebuttal, found have rates, respectively. Furthermore, nexus while also neutralizing negative subject. Conclusion verify triple constraints such as economic vulnerability shocks, which impose severe poor identified hindrance suggest specific implications explicitly discussed.

Abstract The relevance of the worldwide commitment to end hunger as stated in Sustainable Development Goal 2.1 makes it crucial understand trend undernourishment and accompanying determinants that are still underexplored. Using a sample 41 African countries covering 2003–2019 period, this paper contributes literature by examining direct indirect effects infrastructure development on prevalence (PoU). Findings from system generalized method moments show (including ICT, water sanitation, transport, electricity) significantly reduces PoU child stunting. Interestingly, causal mediation analysis reveals human capital, governance, economic growth main channels through which Africa. Among policy implications, reliable infrastructures remains prerequisite for attaining “zero hunger” goal

This study examined how Lithuania’s CO2 emissions were affected by macroeconomic variables and mortality rates between 1995 2020. ARDL analysis, cointegration regression, diagnostics test, robustness test used to quantify the impact of rates, variables, emissions. The findings unit root confirmed that all are stationary. Similarly, bound values show cointegrated a long-run relationship exists them. However, methods both showed trade openness, economic growth have significant positive on Hence, renewable energy consumption helps reduce Furthermore, diagnostic tests no serial correlation, heteroscedasticity exists, robust also model is stable. While regression results similar test. analysis suggests essential policy recommendations aimed at reducing need improve health sectors (specifically, under 5). expands existing literature environmental economics, its will help frameworks in Lithuania carbon
