Purpose Develop a conceptual model for the training of Chilean engineers in construction field that considers facultative symbiosis between sustainable (SC) and nature-based solutions (NBS). Design/methodology/approach This study aims to develop Bibliographic data linked complete collection 7,163 articles published 2011 2022 were extracted from Web Science Scopus BA utilizing VOSviewer software. Findings A education SC NBS was developed, based on Bloom’s taxonomy, initial knowledge cross-cutting skills. includes four thematic clusters: green project management, building, materials bioengineering. Its development began with competencies activities defined systematic literature review (SLR), which validated by engineering program directors rated survey as “extremely important,” “very important” or “important.” Originality/value research provides its readers an extensive understanding salient themes, trends patterns NBS. Furthermore, this contributes clear guidelines rapid updating programs.

Not many studies have delved into the research on strategies to advance implementation of environmental economic practices in developing nations, particularly within context Nigerian construction sector. The increasing pressure on urban systems and buildings in South Africa caused by rapid urbanization climate change necessitates innovative approaches, including Nature-based Solutions (NbSs), to address environmental societal challenges. As such, this study aimed determine the dynamic role of NbSs shaping sustainability Africa’s built environment. Abstract The significance of Nature‐Based Solutions (NBSs) in addressing environmental and socioeconomic challenges is widely acknowledged, yet research on NBSs continues due to a limited understanding their full benefits. This study addresses the existing gap by focusing NBS co‐benefit valuation through digital platforms.
