ABSTRACT While the role of media in monitoring corporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices is increasingly prominent, limited research focuses on sustainable impact ESG reputation from an energy strategy perspective context. To address this critical gap, study utilizes news report data Baidu News patent text Chinese A‐share listed companies (2012–2022), applying machine learning analysis methods to construct indicators for sentiment innovation ( CEI ). Drawing theory, finds that positive conveyed by significantly enhances , primarily alleviating financing constraints fostering awareness green business practices. Heterogeneity reveals more pronounced high‐energy‐consuming firms regions with better finance development stronger governance. The content attention also exhibit distinct heterogeneity, particularly environmental social dimensions. findings underscore importance integrating media‐driven mechanisms into strategies promote long‐term development.
