ABSTRACT Education, research, and public engagement are key strategies guiding European higher education institutions (HEIs) in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through stakeholder, legitimacy, resource‐based view theories, this study examines contributions of HEIs to saving Life on Land (SDG15), focusing role digital technologies Partnerships (SDG17) biodiversity conservation. Despite interest conservation adoption HEIs, knowledge about SDG15 issues is still limited. A double‐level content analysis through Leximancer v.5 manual was performed 653 documents (191 sustainability reports 462 website pages) from 50 published between 2018 2024. The results highlight SDG17 supporting efforts but also reveal a lack standardized reporting frameworks, underscoring need for unified approach disclosure ensure more consistent impactful toward SDGs. To best authors' knowledge, first address gaps practices supported by digitalization partnerships, as adopted shared top universities leading land Times Higher Education (THE) 2024 ranking.
