Energy is often described as the lifeblood of a nation’s economy, and world energy trilemma calls for collaboration innovative solutions at national level. This where Education Sustainable Development (ESD) plays crucial role, helping integrate achievement United Nations Goals (SDGs) while addressing challenges posed by trilemma. Europe’s strong commitment to transitioning sustainable evident in its response geopolitical changes climate targets. Notably, Baltic States have taken decisive action war Ukraine, choosing completely halt electricity imports from Russia Belarus. shift was supported increased via interconnectors Finland, Sweden, Poland, with rising 13,053 GWh—an increase 2.6% 2023 compared previous year. Latvia, which holds highest green potential Sea region, has nevertheless lagged behind counterparts terms implementation. In 2021, Latvia ranked third among European Union (EU) countries renewable share final consumption, 42.1%, significantly higher than EU average 21.8%. However, further progress needed meet Latvia’s 2030 target 14% use transport. The aim produce 98–100% their sources 2050. should be regarded unified system, coordinated strategy achieving development through joint planning. analysis highlights complexities managing markets amidst global regional challenges, emphasizing importance well-designed public interventions secure long-term benefits. study concludes call enhanced interagency cooperation reform ESD create new interdisciplinary sector dedicated “Sustainable Development”.

ABSTRACT Sustainable challenges have become a priority for governments and businesses seeking to advance the decarbonization process. Within national energy strategies, renewable communities (RECs) are emerging as key mechanism achieving not only environmental economic goals—supported by incentive policies—but also social goals, they actively engage citizens, businesses, utility companies. The present study focused on role played citizens conducting analysis based an online survey across Italy, examining sustainable behaviors, habits, perceptions, dynamics of potential prosumers. results showed that there is widespread concern about climate change; yet, this accompanied adequate level information. In addition, respondents exhibited preference protective regulatory frameworks over full liberalization sector. Awareness RECs remains limited, with two‐thirds sample familiar concept. However, prior knowledge correlated greater inclination participate in such communities. Economic factors (including sale prices, purchase exchange prices) crucial shaping respondents' willingness RECs, sought equilibrium among these financial elements. Ultimately, component appears fundamental acceptance prosumerism, positioning viable pathway toward development.

This study investigates the scholarly landscape of General Equilibrium (GE) model applications within field energy research through a bibliometric lens. Utilizing dataset 864 journal articles indexed in Scopus from 1974 to 2022, maps publication trends, identifies leading contributors, and uncovers prevailing thematic clusters field. The analysis employs VOSviewer visualize co-authorship networks, as well institutional country-level productivity, source relevance, keyword co-occurrence patterns. Results reveal that China, United States, Japan are most prolific countries, while Energy Policy Economics emerge influential journals. Among authors, Masui T. stands out productive, Paganetti registers highest number citations, reflecting significant impact over recent years. Keyword mapping highlights dominant themes centered on "computable general equilibrium analysis," model," "emission control," field’s alignment with climate-related policy evaluation. overview not only provides structured understanding intellectual developments GE-energy but also underexplored areas warrant further investigation—particularly integration GE models renewable transitions developing economies incorporation behavioral distributional dimensions assessments. contributes advancement interdisciplinary dialogue by informing future directions supporting evidence-based policymaking energy-climate nexus.
