Recently, Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks (ZIFs) and their hybrid composites have incited a lot of interest in the research community shown promising potential supercapacitors owing to excellent conductivity, high surface area, tunable structure, rich redox chemistry, composition diversity, etc. Even though many ZIFs are being studied for advancement electrode materials used energy storage applications, this review, we focused on ZIF-8 ZIF-67 only. The electrochemical performance pure is poor due low electronic conductivity cycling life. To counter this, mixed with other like conducting polymers, transitional metals composites, activated carbons prepare composites. Furthermore, highly porous structure large area cage act as an ideal template designing supercapacitor applications. This reviewis focus synthesis such materials. review divided into two main parts: design derivatives applications ZIF-67-based three-electrode two-electrode setups. Lastly, challenges obstacles encountered while employing will be reviewed commented on.

Abstract In recent years, the rapid growth in renewable energy applications has created a significant demand for efficient storage solutions on large scale. Among various options, rechargeable zinc‐air batteries (ZABs) have emerged as an appealing choice green technology due to their higher density, sustainability, and cost‐effectiveness. Regarding this fact, spotlight is shaded air electrode constructing high‐performance ZABs. Cobalt oxide‐based electrocatalysts gained attention extraordinary features. Particularly, exploration integration of bifunctional behavior remarkably promoted both ORR OER facilitate overall performance battery. The plot review forwarded towards in‐depth analysis latest advancements that are based cobalt oxide possess properties along with introduction fundamental aspects ZABs, Additionally, topic entails examination morphological variations mechanistic details mentioning about synthesis processes. Finally, direction provided future research endeavors through addressing challenges prospects advancement next‐generation empower high‐performing ZABs oxide.
