Abstract
As
a
major
by‐product
of
biodiesel
production,
glycerol
offers
significant
economic
potential
when
effectively
utilized.
The
electrooxidation
to
formic
acid
in
couped
systems
has
attracted
considerable
attentions
due
its
environmental
friendliness,
cost‐effectiveness,
low
energy
consumption
and
production
high‐value‐added
chemicals.
This
concept
presents
the
key
strategies
for
catalyst
design
rational
construction
representative
coupled
towards
efficient
acid.
Firstly,
we
overview
from
four
aspects,
including
heteroatom
doping,
vacancy
engineering,
interface
component
construct
highly
active
sites
tune
electronic
properties
electrocatalysts.
Subsequently,
discuss
oxidation
acid,
highlight
importance
high‐value
added
Finally,
conclude
by
outlining
current
challenges
proposing
future
perspectives,
arouse
further
research
interest
facilitate
development.

Phosphidation‐Free Synthesis of NixCoyP on Nanostructured N,S,P‐Doped Carbon Networks as Self‐Supported Multifunctional Electrocatalysts

The
synthesis
of
supported
multielement
transition
metal
phosphides
(TMPs)
to
exploit
the
synergistic
interplay
between
electronic
and
geometric
effects
resulting
from
presence
different
metals
in
material
arrangement
heterogeneous
atoms
is
pivotal
for
reducing
content
while
offering
multiple
active
sites.
However,
integration
Ni,
Co,
P,
example,
into
a
nanostructured
carbon
network
develop
self‐supporting
Ni
x
Co
y
P
bimetallic
limited
by
several
factors,
including
discrepancy
crystal
structure
respective
monometallic
phosphides.
Moreover,
conventional
TMPs
often
separates
nanoparticles,
support
phosphidation
steps,
which
do
not
allow
tailoring
physical
catalytic
properties
via
particle
support,
interactions.
Herein,
an
innovative
solid‐state,
ex
situ
phosphidation‐free
approach
tailored
synthesize
library
N,S,P‐modified
networks
generated
together
with
particles
presented.
Extensive
multivariate
characterization
validates
unique
materials
enhanced
electrocatalytic
performance
hydrogen
evolution
reaction
selective
electroconversion
biomass‐derived
5‐hydroxymethylfurfural
(5‐HMF)
value‐added
2,5‐furandicarboxylic
acid
(FDCA)
90–100%
Faradaic
efficiency.
Overall,
expands
possibilities
microstructure
improved
physical/catalytic
properties.
