Aspirin is one of the most widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs worldwide. Neurodegenerative diseases adversely affect central nervous system, leading to cognitive decline. has different pharmacological activities at doses. Therefore, this study aimed determine effects acetylsalicylic acid (ASA), active ingredient aspirin, administered doses on parameters that play a role in function using molecular and histological methods behavioral tests. For purpose, 28 Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups. Control, ASA-low dose (1mg/kg), ASA-moderate (10mg/kg) ASA-high (100mg/kg). ASA was intragastrically as single dose, an open field test performed 3 hours later. Subsequently, hippocampus tissues obtained, tissue structure analyzed by analyzing involved antioxidant capacity, inflammation, apoptosis, memory. ASA, especially moderate doses, increased capacity partially reduced inflammation apoptotic damage. At high opposite effect observed, damage levels. Similar detected examination. Although there no structural defects low or observed difference findings between groups, time spent center, distance traveled, speed slightly higher moderate-dose group. Abstract Aim Alkali-esophageal burn due to ingestion of corrosive substances is an important clinical entity that can be seen in all age groups, especially children. Chrysin a natural flavonoid compound with wide range biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiapoptotic, and anticancer effects. This study aimed ascertain the preventive efficacy chrysin treatment alkali-esophageal burns. Materials Methods Rats were administered 0.2 ml 25% NaOH orally CHR at 25 50 mg/kg intraperitoneally for four days. The levels oxidative stress, ER inflammation, damage, apoptotic autophagic cell death esophageal tissues analyzed using biochemical molecular methods. Additionally, tissue structure function examined histological Results alleviated NaOH-induced increased stress by decreasing MDA increasing antioxidants. inflammation damage inhibiting NF-κB signaling pathway. decreased Caspase-3, Bax antiapoptotic Bcl-2. The Roman Empire, the Industrial Revolution, introduction of Pb in gasoline during 1920s contributed increased environmental concentrations. toxicity led removal from after several decades. However, continues be emitted various anthropogenic sources, including but not limited batteries, mining, foundries, smelting, e-waste recycling, painting. remains an concern, as no established safe concentration for human health identified. Children are more susceptible absorption poisoning Pb. Occupational exposure poses a significant risk workers individuals living near lead industries. primary routes inhalation ingestion, bioaccumulation biomagnification through food chain major sources exposure. This review aims provide overview systemic Pb, effects on lungs, blood, liver, kidneys, nervous, cardiovascular, reproductive systems. Since is classified probable carcinogen humans, article also addresses genotoxicity cancer risk. Furthermore, it reviews most researched mechanisms toxicity, calcium mimicry, oxidative stress, inflammation, along with other less-studied mechanisms. Nevertheless, authors emphasize importance exploring less examined cells, tissues, deepen understanding at concentrations, particularly cases chronic low-level exposure, develop better prevention treatment strategies poisoning.

Bu çalışma, fenolik asit içeren doğal bitkisel bileşik olan sinapik asidin (SA), erkek ratlarda kurşun (Pb) kaynaklı dalak toksisitesine karşı etkilerini incelemeyi amaçladı. Dalak toksisitesi, ratların 7 gün boyunca sadece Pb ya da ile kombinasyon halinde SA’nın oral tedavisini takiben değerlendirildi. Doku malondialdehit (MDA) seviyeleri, glutatyon (GSH) peroksidaz (GPx), süperoksit dismutaz (SOD) ve katalaz (KAT) aktiviteleri biyokimyasal olarak belirlendi. dokusunda uygulanan grupta MDA düzeyi artarken, GSH seviyeleri GPx, SOD, KAT azaldı. birlikte uygulanmasının düzeyini azalttığı, aktivitelerini arttırdığı gözlemlendi. Ayrıca Pb'nin NF-κB, TNF-α, IL-1β, COX-2, Beklin-1 kaspaz-3 seviyelerini önemli ölçüde artırdığını gösterdi. Kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırıldığında ise, SA tedavisinin azalttığı Sonuç bu çalışmada SA'nın hasarına koruyucu özelliğe sahip olduğu

Cisplatin is one of the most active cytotoxic agents used mainly in treatment solid tumors. High doses and long-term use are known to cause cardiotoxicity. In recent years, antiapoptotic antioxidant effects Carvacrol cardiovascular diseases have attracted attention. this study, on Cisplatin-induced cardiotoxicity a rat model were investigated using biochemical histological methods. Twenty-eight rats divided into 4 groups: 1. Control group, 2. 3. 4. + group. The expression enzymes, proinflammatory cytokines, apoptotic, autophagic proteins was examined heart tissue obtained from sacrificed after last drug administration. Additionally, evaluated histopathologically. has been observed oxidative stress inflammatory damage animal tissue. administration significantly increased enzyme (superoxide dismutase glutathione peroxidase) activities while suppressing markers (NF-κB, TNF-α, IL-1β). induced apoptotic (caspase-3, Bax, Bcl-2) (Beclin-1, LC3A, LC3B) markers.
