Abstract Background Eurasian lynx (Lynx Lynx ) is widely distributed in various habitats Asia and Europe, it may harbor multiple pathogens. Currently, the information on protozoan infection scarce. In this study, we performed nested polymerase chain reaction (nPCR) analysis to detect intestinal three dead lynxes, northwestern China. Methods Three an adult female (#1), male (#2), a cub (#3), were sampled West Junggar Mountain, region of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The intestine samples analyzed using nPCR. We used primers targeting cytochrome C oxidase subunit I gene ( COI for detection Sarcocystis Eimeria species those small 18S ribosomal RNA rRNA Cystoisospora species. nPCR-positive products sequenced, aligned, phylogenetically analyzed. Results protozoa, albifronsi , alpacae felis found lynxes. sample #2 was co-infected with S . E addition, only #3. Conclusions To best our knowledge, detected first time. lynx. These findings extend knowledge geographical distribution host range protozoa.

The potential cross-transmission of Strongyloides stercoralis between dogs and humans has become an increasing focus strongyloidiasis research control programs. However, the role cats wild felids in maintenance transmission cycles human canine received sparse attention. Feline epidemiology remain enigmatic. We conducted a systematic review meta-analysis to assess global prevalence spp. felines reviewed cross-species infection studies elucidate cycle some feline species. Literature searched from seven databases identified 42 eligible published 1985 2024. Of these, 44 datasets 40 were included meta-analysis. Using random effect model combined with Rogan-Gladen method, we estimated pooled at 13.3% (95% CI: 8.3–18.3%), rates 12.2% 6.7–17.8%) domestic (Felis catus) 20.0% 14.9–25.2%) felids. was distributed across all six WHO regions, Africa (49.7%; 95% 40.0–59.3%) Western Pacific (46.9%; 42.6–51.1%) showing highest prevalence. Subgroup analysis revealed significantly higher stray (29.2%; 6.3–52.1%) compared pet (9.3%; 3.7–14.9) shelter (4.4; 0–9.0). Historical demonstrated variable susceptibility human- or canine-derived S. stercoralis. It remains inconclusive whether act as reservoir for vice versa. is prevalent condition wild, stray, cats. Much available data does not discriminate species level, infections obscure. Future would benefit utilising molecular genotyping tools enable species-level phylogenetic differentiation.

The study included a survey of helminthes in the intestines stray cats several areas Wasit province, to determine extent their spread among populations regions. Samples were collected from 96 distributed same 7 species parasitic observed, and four tapeworms. highest observed was Dipylidium caninum for 44.61% infected with other two recorded nematodes as 46.51%, 22.58% Toxocara cains, Toxascaris leonina respectively, note that T. cains infection is higher than others; while, have been diagnosed different rates 35.38%, 24.61%, 12.30%, 27.90% Taenia multiceps, ovis, pisiformis, Ancylostoma sp., respectively. rate northern regions province southern Province In conclusion, can act potential reservoir hosts various parasites, potentially impacting both human animal health. extensive presence across numerous Iraqi necessitates increased focus relevant bodies, especially public health veterinary sectors, mitigate associated risks zoonotic concerns. Biodiversitas 24: 3332-3337. Domestic (Felis catus Linnaeus, 1758), which live close humans, can host some zoonotic nematodes. Therefore, a study on domestic anthelmintic resistance is essential for controlling preventing nematodiasis. Our goal was investigate the diversity of One hundred seventy-four (174) out 215 cat patients (80.93%) presented at animal clinic Department Internal Medicine, Faculty Veterinary Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, suspected parasite infections suffered from Ninety-eight (98) animals suffering moderate severe nematodiasis with Egg Per Gram feces (EPG) >300 were included into nematode identification, clinical analyses, evaluation The divided three treatment groups, namely pyrantel pamoate dose 5 mg/kg BW orally D0 (OP), subcutaneous injection ivermectin 200 µg/kg day 0 (SCI), no medication as Control (C). Fecal samples collected 10 parasitological examinations. results showed that infected Toxocara sp. Introduction: Buffaloes are one of the most valuable animals for humans. They an important source milk and meat around world. This research aimed to evaluate prevalence gastrointestinal (GI) parasites in fecal samples male calves Gandaki Rural Municipality, Gorkha, Nepal. Further, it sought record different GI review their zoonotic probabilities Methods: Fresh (N=50) from 50 buffalo were opportunistically collected stored at 2.5% potassium dichromate. Then, they processed via direct mount acid-fast techniques observed on a compound microscope. Results: The rates 100% intestinal present, with 11 species parasites. Zoonotically possible Cryptosporidium, Balantidium coli, Entamoeba. Ascarid, Fasciola hepatica. Conclusion: findings revealed that heavily parasitized by diverse parasitic species, indicating necessity quick effective antiparasitic treatment future. In addition, will be necessary prevent can impact public health, especially nearby environment

Abstract This study aims to carry out a molecular screening for the presence of Giardia, Cryptosporidium, and/or Entamoeba in faeces pet and stray/feral cats Jordan. G. duodenalis was found 27.9% (95% CI: 23.2–32.9) overall 348 sampled cats, E. histolytica only 0.6% 0.1–2.1) while none had Cryptosporidium infections. The infection rate among indoor (32.3%) did not differ significantly from that outdoor ones (24.1%). infections were higher (p = 0.0004) geographically cold semi-arid areas (67%) compared desert area (24%). Multilocus sequence typing analysis on amplicons based bg, TPI, GDH genes revealed majority zoonotic assemblage B (65.9%; 64 97 positive samples), followed by feline specific F (18.5%, 18/97), cattle E (5.2%, 5/97), then C is shared with canids (1.0%; 1/97). Within Giardia isolates, substitution mutation (A/G) position 297 complete protein coding (cds) TPI-BIII, which may represent new spreading within this gene cat population results current suggest close human-cat interaction could play role transmission but further research needed rule possible contribution other protozoa humans.
