The water resource management of transboundary mountainous river basins under climate change is expected to be challenging. In order contribute the better understanding effects on resources and Prespa Lakes basin, a hydrological model Agios Germanos River, one main rivers discharging Great Lake, was developed, two plans different scenarios were examined. Based results, impact surface evident in all examined, even most favorable abstraction practices. Nevertheless, sensible can moderate by up 10% an optimistic scenario both near- long-term, 6% 1% for respectively, pessimistic scenario. Integrated practices that ecosystem services should prioritized. Nature-based approaches could provide solutions regarding adaptation mitigation. Transboundary cooperation, data exchange mechanisms, common policy frameworks, monitoring, reporting, evaluation systems, reduce human ecosystems’ vulnerabilities improve security area.
