Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) has gained significant interest and attention since its launch in November 2022. Ethical approval and informed consent in mental health research: a scoping review DOI Creative Commons

Abstract Although there is a wide range of scientific papers introducing artificial intelligence techniques in the mental health field, lack literature assessing reporting ethical concerns such studies. In addition, it not yet known whether authors seek approval or informed consent while performing research. This study aimed to investigate extent which studies domain that utilize chatbots either ignore incompletely disclose patient and from responsible review boards. A scoping search was performed PsychARTICLES, PubMed, Web Science using both MeSH terms free-text keywords. Following PRISMA-ScR guidelines, we also contacted verify missing information about consent, enhancing transparency rigor our analysis. Among 27 reviewed, 13 reported obtaining approval, 16 collecting consent. The remaining did provide information. These findings underscore complexities surrounding AI health, especially regarding collection, storage, use sensitive data. There correlation between sample size acquisition particularly published journals with low-impact factors. Future research should role journal policies influencing practices. training programs could be developed educate researchers on importance ethics, smaller sizes.

Objective Sleep quality is a crucial concern, particularly among youth. The integration of health coaching with question-answering (QA) systems presents the potential to foster behavioural changes and enhance outcomes. This study proposes novel human-AI sleep model, combining by peers QA system, assesses its feasibility efficacy in improving university students’ quality. Methods In four-week unblinded pilot randomised controlled trial, 59 students (mean age: 21.9; 64% males) were randomly assigned intervention (health system; n = 30) or control conditions (QA 29). Outcomes included on (Pittsburgh Quality Index; PSQI), objective self-reported measures (obtained from Fitbit diaries) procedures intervention. The doctor–patient relationship has received widespread attention as a significant global issue affecting people’s livelihoods. In clinical practice within the medical field, applying existing artificial intelligence (AI) technology presents issues such uncontrollability, inconsistency, and lack of self-explanation capabilities, even raising concerns about ethics morality. To address problem interaction differences arising from diagnosis treatment, we collected textual content dialogues in outpatient clinics local first-class hospitals. We utilized case scenario analysis, starting two specific cases: multi-patient visits with same doctor multi-doctor patient. By capturing external interactions internal thought processes, unify expressions subjective cognition into between data, information, knowledge, wisdom, purpose (DIKWP) models. propose DIKWP semantic model for on both sides, including cognitive model, to achieve transparency throughout entire process. semantically–bidirectionally map diagnostic discrepancy space uncertainty utilize purpose-driven fusion transformation technique disambiguate problem. This paper presents the preliminary findings of evaluating capability responding to real-world patient questions from a point view, using physician responses as benchmark. This chapter investigates previous research themes and trending topics related to ChatGPT through a comprehensive analysis of the literature. An automated technique (web-scraping) was deployed retrieve compile all existing journal papers, conference proceedings, book chapters from major publisher databases in fields, abstracts selected articles were quantitatively analysed using probabilistic topic modeling procedure – latent Dirichlet allocation (LDA) approach.
