Introdução: A Cannabis é a terceira substância psicoativa mais utilizada no mundo. Seu uso, além de outras comorbidades, tem impacto na saúde mental, com destaque para os quadros esquizofrênicos, uma vez que cerca 26.6% desses pacientes sofrem do Transtorno pelo uso da (TUC). O dessa droga frequente em desordens psicóticas, como esquizofrenia e também parece estimular psicóticos isolados. objetivo trabalho elucidar associação entre o cannabis seu estabelecimento/progressão Metodologia: Trata-se revisão integrativa acerca contexto esquizofrenia. Utilizou-se dados das bases Biblioteca Virtual Saúde (BVS), Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO) National of Medicine (PubMed), partir cruzamento dos descritores “Schizophrenia”, “Endocannabinoid system”, “Cannabis”, “THC” “Cannabis psychosis”, responder à questão formulada através estratégia PICO. Resultados discussão: as duas entidades estar contida numa relação multifatorial genético-comportalmental, exposição precoce exagerada altas concentrações droga, bem histórico familiar polimorfirmo alguns genes, proporcionar ao indivíduo condição vulnerabilidade desenvolvimento severo e/ou eventos psicóticos. Conclusão: utilização proporciona um quadro sintomatologia severa, estabelecimento precoce, taxa recaídas elevadas, primeira admissão hospitalar recorrentes, sendo essa ação propiciada aparentemente pela interação THC sistema endocanabinoide.

Background: Twelve separate streams of empirical data make a strong case for cannabis-induced accelerated aging including hormonal, mitochondriopathic, cardiovascular, hepatotoxic, immunological, genotoxic, epigenotoxic, disruption chromosomal physiology, congenital anomalies, cancers inheritable tumorigenesis, telomerase inhibition and elevated mortality. Abstract Background and Hypothesis Up to 43% of people with schizophrenia have a lifetime cannabis use disorder (CUD). Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been shown exacerbate psychosis in dose-dependent manner, but little research assessed its effects on co-occurring CUD (SCZ-CUD). In this double-dummy, placebo-controlled trial (total n = 130), we hypothesized that modest dose THC would worsen cognitive function not psychosis. Study Design Effects single-dose oral (15 mg dronabinol) or smoked 3.5% cigarettes vs placebo SCZ-CUD CUD-only positive negative symptoms (only for SCZ-CUD), cognition, drug experiences several hours after administration. SCZ-only healthy control participants were also assessed. Results Drug liking was higher groups placebo. Neither nor dronabinol predicted symptom subscale scores 2 5 h, respectively, exposure participants. The group, performed worse than verbal learning (B −9.89; 95% CI: −16.06, −3.18; P .004) attention −0.61; −1.00, −0.23; .002).
