Selenium-enriched mung bean (Se-MB) is a combination of (MB) and selenium (Se), which have variety potential biological activities. However, little known about the skincare activity Se-MB. The chemical composition Se-MB fermentation broth (Se-MBFB) was analyzed to investigate whitening, moisturizing, anti-aging activities Se-MBFB. tyrosinase inhibition, anti-melanogenic in melanocytes (B16F10 cells), moisturizing effect human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs) were analyzed. Besides, free radical scavenging Se-MBFB assessed vitro . To verify vivo effects practical applications Se-MBFB, clinical trial conducted on participants: 31 Chinese women aged 25–60 years, with no pigmentation disorder, illness, history hypersensitivity reaction, use product face. participants used an masque for 15-20 min after cleaning measurement points Week 0, 2, 4 (W0, W2, W4) using masque, target sites cheek canthus. following parameters recorded at each visit: melanin index, skin color, cuticle moisture content, transepidermal water loss, crow's feet. results demonstrated that rich polyphenols, peptides, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), displayed significant inhibiting activities, decreased synthesis melanin, upregulated aquaporin-3 (AQP3) expression. test mask showed weeks facemask, faces became whiter reduced wrinkles increased content. possessed excellent antioxidant efficacy, could lay scientific foundation utilization development products its related industrial cosmetics products.

Benincasa hispida Cogn. ( B. ) is a popular vegetable in China, and studies have been reported on polysaccharides (BPS) preparation. However, few its physicochemical skincare properties. In this study, we analyzed the properties of BPS, free radical scavenging capability, moisturizing antioxidant activities vitro vivo , respectively. Our results show that BPS was an inhomogeneous acidic polysaccharide could scavenge variety radicals. Also, had good capability both . Specifically, alter some key enzyme pro-inflammatory factor levels via activating NRF2/HO-1 pathway, thereby preventing H 2 O -induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production apoptosis HDF-1 cells. suggest exhibited favorable anti-aging might be attractive candidate for development products.
